Sailing in the Western Peloponnisos

This article looks at the harbours and anchorages on the western coast of the Peloponnisos in the Southern Ionian sea. We begin a Katakolon and proceed south through the gulfs of Messiniakos and Kolpos finishing on the island of Kithera, birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. Although like much of Greek mythology this claim is disputed by other locations. In this case by Cyprus which also lays claim to be the birthplace of the godess
