The Comedy of Animation

TV currently has several animated popular animated series, offering from low-brow humour to gross-out comedy to intellectual fare. Now, what separates these is not really theme or art, but approach. "Futurama" is one of my favourite animated shows, now cancelled yet resurrected through a series of straight to DVD movies(which is the perfect solution as far as I'm concerned).

Why People Prefer to Watch Online Television

Are you wondering why people prefer to watch online television? It used to be the thing to watch television while sitting comfortably on the couch and eating a bowl of popcorn and staring at a huge television set.

Lets say you're an American from Ceder Rapids Iowa living in London, England and you want to tune into to the local news at home live. Just turn on your Internet TV software and tune into your home TV station and watch the news live. Stay up on local events and you will have more to email about with the family. This works the other way too.

Have You Got Your Daily Doctor Recommended Movie Dose Today?

Doctors recommend daily doses of movies to help keep your body healthy and happy. Well the smart doctors do anyway, or rather the ones who aren't getting paid commissions from Pfizer to prescribe you pills! Of course that's just one persons opinion, or is it?

The Return (2003) - Andrei Zvyagintsev

I assume that those that have watched this film can be divided into two camps; those that think it is an allegorical masterpiece, and those that think it is a meaningless load of old codswallop. Which camp do I belong to? Well, I'm honestly not sure.

Stunt Women Or Stunt Men

Since a stunt man or stunt woman should have a close body resemblance with the actor or actress, generally for every star, there will be a favorite stunt man or stunt woman. Stars who prefer to use stunt man or stunt woman for fight scenes are likely to keep his or her stunt man or stunt woman until the end of his or her career unless the relationship goes sour.

Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back Film Review

"The Empire Strikes Back" is nothing if not pure gold. Performing the seemingly impossible task of bettering its illustrious predecessor, 'Empire' adds layers of texture, complexity and darkness to the Star Wars universe which suit to enhance and build upon the rock solid foundation laid by the first film. Whereas "Star Wars" was a coming of age tale told with a youthful, innocent energy, 'Empire' is much more adult, with complex issues and major challenges put to the main...

Adam Elliot's Family Trilogy (1996-1999)

Claymator Adam Elliot's semi-autobiographical short film trilogy, each one painting a portrait of a different family member, Uncle (1996), Cousin (1998), and Brother (1999), heralded the arrival of a fantastic new talent. His first forays into the art of claymation, preceding his Academy award winning Harvie Krumpet (2003) by a number of years, are an absolute joy.
