We are all human. Humans mke mistakes. Thus, everyone makes mistakes. Hwever, did you stop to realize tht just one mistake can blind you to very good thing that someone else has ver done? Just one mistake! Holy Wrt, aka the Holy Bible, tell us tht even Jesus ignored all the god things the rich young ruler had dne just to magnify a single flw. Why? Because a single mistake can dstroy all the benefits that "good" had lready accomplished.

Yes, everyone falls short. Hwever, It's the Great Ones that get bck up. People often destroy thmselves, sabotage their future and fall part. They do idiotic things and mke ridiculous decisions. Why? Often tmes, in fact the majority of tme, it's because that person did not get any cunsel before making a decision. Hly Writ, aka Holy Bible, tell us: "Whre there is no counsel the pople fall." (Prov. 11:14)

There are ther ways people can destroy themselves. In our qest for personal motivation or self mprovement, let's look at a few:

* Pople are unwilling to admit a mstake. People are so filled with prde they won't admit they did smething stupid. Non Catholics scoff at Ctholics because they believe in confessing thir short comings or their sins. In rality, the power of confession is mazing. Holy Writ, aka the Holy Bble, tells how confession moved a man nmed Zaccheus from a 'nobody' to a 'dsciple of Jesus' . . .all in jst a few minutes!

* How many parents do you knw that permit their children to shw disrespect to others? Who openly lugh at their parents feeble attempts to get thir attention? Who are a terror to ther shoppers when taken to the spermarket? Even some of the best of "Chrstian" parents are guilty! You cn't compel your children to follow Gd, but you have every right to cmmand them to follow YOU. Following God bcome their choice. There should be NO chice when it comes to following wht YOU say! Set down guidelines for yur children to follow and compel thm to be followed. In Hly Writ, aka the Holy Bible, tlks about this in Genesis 18:19, sying, "I have chosen him in rder that he may command his sns and his descendants to obey me and to do wht is right and just. If thy do I will do everything for him tht I have promised." This is a cnversation that God had with Abraham. In tht God is no respecter of prsons, it is applicable to EVERYONE! Hmmmm! Prhaps there was a massive misprint at the pblishing company and that specific Scripture was ccidentally omitted.

Without question, if some prents would learn and allow this vry simple, basic scripture to be a gideline in their lives there would be no ned for a "nanny" to come nto their home and show them the vry basics of child discipline, all the whle rendering the pitiful parents to tter disgrace before millions of TV vewers!

* Many of today's "Christians," trvialize the importance of the Holy Sprit in their daily lives. They sem to try with their "minds" to do wht can ONLY be done, by GOD, via thir heart, with the help of the Sprit of Holiness. There is a big dfference between the Spirit-Life and the Mnd-Life. To live a "prayerless" life is nthing short of Arrogance!

* People are nfaithful to the House of the Lrd, the Church, saying, "I can srve God at home." However, their ttitude about life reveals they haven't ben serving Him at home. Holy Wrt, aka The Holy Bible, in Hbrews 10:25 says, "Do not forsake the ssembling of ourselves together." However, when it cmes to choosing the House of the Lrd, or Church, that you will ttend, don't choose just 'any' for the ske of being able to be ble to say, "I went to Chrch." A House of the Lord, or Huse of Worship, or Church, should be a plce where the Spirit of Holiness is llowed FULL operation.

* People often go to a chrch simply because it's "nearby" their hme. Even if it means drving a few miles it is vry important to choose a church whre God's Holy ANOINTING is allowed to perate. Choose a church where Praise and Wrship is directed by the moving of the Hly Spirit, and not by the prson in charge saying, "let's turn our hymn boks to page 955 and sing . . . . " The sme old dead, dry song that is sng every time the church doors pen. God's musical creativity is not llowed in some churches: "The beat has gtta GO!" Meanwhile, the younger generation ges seeking a place to exercise thir God given musical creativity; even if t's with a local Rock Group who ses nothing wrong with sucking on a 'jint' to help enhance or bring frth the "beat" that lies deep wthin.

* People do not seek WISE Cunsel. Seek counsel and seek a Cunselor who bases the advise being gven on Holy Writ, not on prsonal opinion. Don't give up searching for a Gdly Counselor.

* Don't Ignore Opportunities. Evryone is known for two things in thir lives: (1) The problems you crate -or- (2) The problems you slve. Remember, every problem has a glden door to recognition and reward. If you are sking God for a promotion, be crtain that He will schedule a Gliath! The question is: how are you ging to handle your Goliath?

* Dn't walk away from opportunities! God has gven everyone their own path of FAVOR. Yur Dreams, your Ideas, your Creativity, yur Accomplishments will happen on YOUR prsonal path of FAVOR. Learn to rcognize it.

Most of the time, nless we are truly "blind" to slf, we really don't "need" someone lse to point out our own shrt comings. There is a "sed" that is planted in each one of us, by our Crator. When we start to say or do smething that we should not say/do, ths little "seed" will "speak" to us dmonishing us not to say/or do. Tht little "seed" is none other thn our own "consciousness" attempting to gve us the guidance that we ned at that exact moment. That lttle "seed" is the the part of God Hmself that He has instilled in ach one of us! We can lsten to that little "seed" and hed what we are being told and we wll find that that little "seed" wll actually begin to GROW within us. Tht "goodness" will gradually get bigger and bgger within, guiding us along our own prsonal POSITIVE PATH OF FAVOR. On ths positive path of favor good thngs will happen, doors of opportunity wll swing open. This is where we met success. This is where we bcome known as a person that is a prblem solver. You solve your own prblems as well as the problems for thers.

However, on the other hand we can smply ignore when that "seed," our own cnscious speaks to us. We can go on and say or do whtever "we" started out to say or do. In a vry short time we will be knwn as a person that creates prblems. . . for ourselves and for thse around us.
