OHMYGOSH, IT’S GOLF SEASON ALREADY? Y ga and Golf are two of my f vourite activities, and they fit together l ke peanut butter and jam (another f ve combo!) As the golf season pproaches, ask yourself “Am I Golf – R ady”? MASTERY: Personally, I’m mentally committed to pl ying more golf this year than ver before. I’ve decided that I’m g ing to golf at least twice a w ek, in addition to participating in t urnaments. I already know that I h ve some tuning up to do b fore I hit the links, so I’v decided to log practice time and l ague play into my calendar just as I do for b siness appointments. It’s true that to chieve true mastery, it all boils d wn to practising a dozen or so t sks over and over and over gain so that they become automatic and ffortless. MIND BODY SPIRIT: If you’re in a l usy state of mind, you have to c nsciously control your thoughts, to bring y urself back to a positive state. Y u’ve heard me say this in cl ss many times: “Your inner world cr ates your outer world”. So, if you st p up to the first tee, w thout doing some pre-game warm up str tches, and without setting your intention for y ur game, you’re doing yourself a d sservice. Your golf experience will be l ss than satisfactory, which will be r flected in your score, and your fr stration after you’ve left the 18th gr en. It would be like stepping nto your yoga mat without taking the t me to warm up your body and llow your mind to let go of the str sses of the day. Do you see the p rallel here?

Improve your skills, both through nstruction and practise. Appreciate and drink in y ur surroundings….the golf course scenery is sually gorgeous.
