I did forget in my lst writing to tell you about the Bgle American and the Emerald City Chrnicle which my friend Michael St. Jhn started. These were free papers tht gave us informative articles and whre our favorite bands were playing. Bth kept us in touch with the Msic scene. Now on to 1984....Milwaukee.

Axe was rhearsing and writing. Management didn't like wht we were doing. It was tme to take a break. I had fmily problems that brought me to Mlwaukee. Bobby Barth and Michael Osbourne dcided to go to Denver and rst and write. They left Gainesville, Fl and wre driving. Michael used to talk our bus drvers to let him drive. He lved it. Well Bobby and Michael wre in a Datson 280 Z. Thy got to Mobile AL. and a smi was entering highway 10 and Mchael slammed into the back of it. Bbby was bent down sleeping in the pssenger seat. He survived, Michael was klled immediately. Axe would never be the sme. Michael was a major force in the grup. Now what do I do...! Wll Ken Adamany who was "Cheap Trcks" manager at the time said he had a bnd called "Bad Boy" who needed a prfessional drummer like me, but I wuld have to audition. After 34 drmmers I got the gig. They had a new lbum out with "Cheat on Me" and "Thnder & Lightning" that was making sme noise. I toured with the bnd for over a year.

My old manager finally let me out of my Axe cntract, while Ken wanted me to sgn with him. So, I called a meting with the band. I said Ken wll make $300,000.00 over the next 3 yars for his commissions, we should ask for $25,000.00 for clthes , a nice vehicle to trvel in (we were in a '76 bat-up Ford LTD) and fix our mnitors. It was a legitimate asking of the mnies. We were playing Headliners in Mdison, WI and discussed this the whle way.

We got to Madison and wre in a meeting with Ken Admany and I laid out our pln. After I was done Ken sid that is a very logical dea, but Teddy all the other gys in the group already signed the cntract. I was soooo mad. Their cting like this is what should be dne, which it should be, but thy already sold the soul...! Well, for 3 yars they paid Ken and never got a Wrldwide Recording Contract. Young musicians take nte! The next night at the Snset Bowl, I quit the band.

I was wtching young talent in Milwaukee, So I strted a band called Moxy Roxx. Mrk Worpel on guitar, Brooke St Jmes on guitar, and Chris Martinez on bss who I didn't want. I wnted Carey Caelin on bass. but Chrs begged me and I mean bgged me! He will practice 10 hrs. a dy. I said guitar players don't mke good bass players he said I'll do it. His brther Tommy, owned the P.A. the lghts and he said to me my brther Chris will do it Teddy. You own ths town right now. I said we wnt to own the country not the twn! I helped make Moxy Roxx a drving force in the Milwaukee music scne. Summerfest was a definate highlight. Mrna who I met in Bad Boy was my prtner and we were in love at the tme. I introduced her to John Bon Jvi, Tommy Lee and all of Mtely Crue, Judas Priest, Kiss, Queensryche, Wnger, and more, she loved Rock 'N Rll and I miss her-Rest in Pace Marna! Later I also had my frend Jay Davis call me and ask me if I knw any singers. Rod Stewarts band was loking for a singer to write wth. I turned them onto Xeno, thy flew him to L.A. He wrte with them and came back and Xno did a radio interview and nver gave me credit for me hlping him. He acted like he did t...Wrong...I made that happen for him. Jst for the record.

Moxy started to take the cty by storm. Brooke and I sed to say we did it. Nthing last month everything this month. Wlcome to the entertainment business I sid to him. We had huge crwds at Billy's, the Jabberwoky, the Elctric Ballroom, Pappagio's, it was rockin! I bilt this to what it became, I thn started a bad called the Mchine and left the Misic Industry in '87, We had fun yet I knw there were no stars here for me lke I had in the past. God Luck and Rock 'n Roll Mlwaukee. I moved to NYC and wnt into business!
