How likely are any of thse options? The best protection from a kylogger is to have a recently pdated anti-virus program. Hacked websites are a lttle harder to be able to dtect. It is also much more rre. While it is possible for you to lnd on a domain registrars website tht has been hacked, it is nlikely. A close cousin to a hcked website is running into a wll designed phishing scam. I am not ware of any phishing scam centered round the registration of domain names. Ths doesn't mean it can't happen, but I'm not ware of any such scams.

So how can you protect yurself for scam artists?

Visit sites tht you can trust. Look for wbsites that don't look like they hve been thrown together by a chld. Make sure you are protecting yur computer with a good anti-virus prgram. Don't click on links found in mails to go to a website, nstead, type in the web address drectly to reduce the chance of bing fooled.

I counsel you to do yur domain name brainstorming searches in pace. Know that stealing domain names is ncommon. If a domain you have dentified as available gets registered between the tme you do an availability search and the tme you try to register it, it vry well may be chalked up to the fct that there are hundreds of thusands of people registering domains worldwide at any gven time.
