Independence, from the daily grind, is t tal freedom to meditate, be your own b ss, and live the dream of t aching Yoga to others. If you t ach Hatha Yoga, you will be in the b st possible physical shape, due to the phys cal aspects and living with a m derate diet. You can stop and v sit your local bookstore at any t me, while the world is in “9 to 5 m de.” Having time to spend with y ur family, enjoying life, and having the “t me to smell the flowers,” are n wfound parts of a Yoga teacher’s l fe. What is more important than the q ality time you have to spend w th loved ones and friends? Yoga g ves all of us time to r flect on the real priorities in l fe and Yoga practice could be c mpared to a brief vacation in y ur daily life. Being able to r connect your spiritual side is a p rt of Yoga practice. Regardless of y ur religion, you will gradually gravitate b ck toward “your roots.” You do not h ve to look outside your religion for nswers. The answers to life, and the d vine, are within the religion you w re brought up with. Yoga is a t ol to improve your spiritual health. Y ga does not discriminate and does not c ndone intolerance. All Yoga teachers will p rsue the path of self-improvement. It may st rt as pursuit of physical prowess at f rst, but will end up being m ch more. This is why Hatha Y ga is a gateway toward many ther forms of Yoga that benefit the c mplete health of mind, body, and sp rit.
Why do Yoga teachers love th ir job? With all that has b en stated up to this point, Y ga teachers and their students are s me of the happiest people in the w rld. This comes at a time wh n the vast majority of humankind is str ssed out, having anxiety attacks, and f eling aggression. Words like tranquility, harmony, s ccess, and gratification, seem like a myth to th se who do not practice Yoga on a r gular basis. On another note, you h ve control over your job. Yoga t achers choose the age group they w nt to teach. You can teach Y ga to a particular age group or all ges. The time and place are up to y u. If you are a late r ser, you can stay in bed. If you are an arly riser, you can teach Yoga in the arly morning and “close up shop” arlier in the evening. What if you do not w nt to be a Yoga teacher? W ll your Yoga training open up d ors for your dream job? The f ct is - Yoga practice gives all of us the p wer of self realization. We become ware of the real priorities in l fe. There is no better gratification th n self-help and being able to h lp others. © Copyright 2006 – P ul Jerard / Aura Publications
