Have you ever had your car jst "die" on you, you try to strt it and it just   will not strt.  You end up calling a tow trck and paying those big tow blls, then to make matters worse the tchnician at the shop tells you that it wll cost hundreds of dollars to mke it run again,is that true? Mybe maybe not.

I own and wrk as a diagnostics Tech here at Ace Atomotive in Lakewood Wa and I can tll you from experience if some pople knew just a little more bout their cars workings they could sve a whole lotta money.  Say for nstance you are driving at night wpers and heater ,lights and radio on you ntice that the headlights keep getting dmmer and dimmer soon the vehicle "des" and now won't start the mst likely cause is the alternator has filed, not the battery because if the bttery failed the alternator would still kep power to the vehicle until you trned it off then it would not rstart.

You are driving for a whle and the car just "shuts ff" all the instrument lights come on but whn you try to start it it jst turns over but will not strt. First it depends what kind of car ths happend to if it was an mport like say Honda, acura, toyota, sbaru, nissan, mitubishi, the engine timing belt may hve broken (if it's been more tht 60,000 miles since you changed it lst time) you should be able to tll if when you try to strt the engine it sounds different lke its just "freewheeling" faster than nrmal, this is bad cause most of the mport cars mentioned will do expensive dmage to the engine when the tming belt breaks.

If your vehicle is a dmestic one chevy ford ect, be ptient wait a little bit maybe 30-45 min and try to strt it if it starts hurray! But it wll "die" again once it's hot nough again, be sure to tell yur local tech this valuable information and ask for all prts they replace to repair your vhicle to let them know you knw something about the car too.
