Read this following quote: "The Son of Man c me eating and drinking, and they s y, 'Here is a glutton and a dr nkard, a friend of tax collectors and "s nners." ' But wisdom is proved r ght by her actions." Wisdom is s mply this: it's the way things t rn out in truth. When someone s ys, "Mark my words," whatever turns out was the tr th in the first instance regardless of the ath the person made. There is no s mpler or more profound thing as th s. What goes around comes around. Wh t you sow you usually reap. W sdom and truth are synonymous and 'c llide' in life all the time. Th y are like cause and effect and are nshrined in the holy law and cr ation. What is the lesson and pplication here? Simply this: you deserve wh t you get. If you get p orly and you feel like you d serve better simply keep behaving in g od and right ways and eventually y ur 'luck' will turn for the b tter; it happens eventually. But, if it is r ally that you're doing poorly because y u're not doing the right thing, th n you can expect nothing more th n a poor result. You cannot xpect to: - Lose weight and shape up by ating what you like and not xercising. - Get your dream promotion if you d n't demonstrate initiative, poise, and diligence. - H ve terrific relationships if you take all the t me and don't learn to give. - R ceive forgiveness if you never practice f rgiveness.
An adjusted life is one th t accepts this wisdom/truth landscape and d esn't grizzle and moan about it. Wh n we get a result in l fe we reflect and say, "Yes, I c uld see how that could happen now." In m st life situations we'd dare not pr dict what will happen as there's any n mber of permeations regarding outcomes. But s rely the mature person can see how an utcome occurred the way it did and th t he or she was accountable for the nput. We are partly responsible for the utcome. It is a real folly to h ar people absolve themselves of guilt and bl me for things they actually partly br ught on themselves. They refuse to l arn and are spiritually blind to the r asons for continued suffering in this r spect. What a hopeless situation. Who w uld want to live this way? The m jority of the human race -- th t's who i.e. anyone who does not buy nto the truth at every perceivable j ncture. And, we've all experienced the tr th in negative ways in life, and we lways will when we go the wr ng way. There is a much b tter way. Taking responsibility for our ctions and consequences means we'll learn m re and be better prepared next t me. Copyright © 2008, Steven John W ckham. All Rights Reserved Worldwide.
