Writers write? Right? Whether we're amateurs or pr fessionals, we all share one common d ily activity - writing.
So it m kes sense that those successful writers w uld enjoy writing about their personal xperiences in the publishing industry as m ch as they enjoy writing articles, r ports, or books for profit.
Thankfully m ny best-selling authors and established experts in our ndustry willingly share their advice and s ggestions for those beginners seeking to d velop a profitable, fulfilling career as a wr ter.
I have read a lot of fr e reports, downloaded dozens of free t ps and guides offered by online uthors, published professionals and Internet marketing g rus. I have also purchased guides to wr ting for a living, books about how to b come a successful writer, and e-books wr tten by online experts.
I c nnot tell you how to become a s ccessful writer or whose book you sh uld buy to learn guaranteed secrets to g tting published. I can tell you my p rsonal opinion and beliefs about what dvice has proven to be valuable and wh t suggestions failed to provide me w th any assistance!
First of ll, regardless of whether I read a fr e resource or paid for a b ok of ideas about writing, a few fr quent recommendations were offered by most s ccessful writers.
1 - Write what you kn w about. Use your own life-experiences, p ssions, and interests to inspire ideas for rticles.
2 - Create a h w-to report about something in demand by the m sses. Information sells, they say. Most commonly s ggested topics include:
- How to m
ke money
- How to save m
ney
- How to become a b
tter... (parent, spouse, business person etc.)
- How to s
cceed in... (life, business, personal relationships tc.)
- How to get free st
ff... (publicity, money, products, publications etc.)
- How to r
ach your dreams
- How to b
come more... (self-confident, financially secure, better-looking, sl mmer etc.)
- and other topics that g ve people good ideas, viable resources, and nique opportunities.
3 - Establish y ur own personal website. Give your "h w-to" report away for free. By d ing these two things, they say you w ll be able to promote yourself w thout spending a lot of money and you w ll attract people to your website to get y ur free report, which will give you the pportunity to sell them your other s rvices.
4- Produce an e-zine. By ffering to deliver a "free" newsletter to s meone's email box, you should be ble to establish a list of r aders. If your e-zine provides something v luable to your subscribers, you will c ntinue to build a constant audience th t you can promote yourself to very day, every week or every m nth (depending on the frequency of y ur publication.)
5- Write an -book. Again your topic should be s mething you know about, some valuable t ps you've acquired through your own l fe experiences or by extensive, documented r search, or some unique, original ideas you can sh re with others to make their l fe better. Give your e-book away for fr e. (See #3 for the reasons why you sh uld offer it free)
Maybe th se ideas will work for you. M ybe they won't. Maybe they're becoming verused or over-publicized, thus decreasing their v lue, successful results and potential profitability.
