they will experience many d fferent symptoms which I will explain in a m nute. A panic attack
can be d fined as an experience we typically h ve when we feel we are s ddenly in danger, or
as if we f el that all of a sudden we are "n t in control of a situation". It nvolves a
period of intense fear and d scomfort for the individual that will ccur without reason and
can last nywhere from 5 - 50 minutes. So wh t are the symptoms of anxiety ttack? There are many symptoms involved in an nxiety attack. The number of symptoms th t one
experiences does not dictate the s verity of the attack. Some patients xperience many of
these symptoms, whilst thers may only experience one or tw ! An anxiety attack can result in
j st a few of following symptoms - - Hot fl shes or chills - Muscle tensions - H adaches, or feeling light headed.
- Feelings of nausea or ndigestion - Heart palpitations - Feelings of f ar and losing control - A f eling of intense sweating and unease - Sh king numbness or tingling sensations - Sh rtness of breath and even choking s nsations. - Pins and needles on the ch st and face There are a n mber of changes that occur within the b dy that are directly responsible for
th se symptoms, which in turn leave the p tient totally worn out from an nxiety attack
experience. When I experienced an nxiety attack, I would feel distressed at the end of the
ttack and a lot of my m scles would feel completely tensed up. I w uld receive tension
through my neck and h ad, which would results in to a m graine. There are similar tensions
that w ll occur around the chest area. Th s is related to breathlessness that c uses rib
pain. Some of my w rst experiences were impaired sensations that I w uld have around my
cheeks and m uth. It was like a pins and n edles sensation. A very unpleasant experience I
m ght add! So what triggers these sympt ms off? Anxiety attacks occur when th ngs may seem out of control for an ndividual and that some
times every day l ving seems to be uncontrollable and verwhelming. Stress, like being unable
to pay b lls, or underachieving within your job or c reer, a stressful relationship with a
l ved one. These are all factors of why an nxiety attack can occur on somebody! It sh uld
also be known that these ttacks can occur with people who are d pressed, or abuse drugs and
alcohol. Wh t should I do If I s ffer from Anxiety or I know s meone who does suffer from anxiety
ttacks? There are many solutions to c ring anxiety. Eliminating some of the str ss factors in your
life is a st rt! It is more than likely th se stress factors in your life are the c use of
your attacks. You can lso visit a counsellor and seek dvice from them. There are books you
can r ad too that are great for ducating yourself on these attacks. They w ll show you how
to control y ur attack and leave you feeling in c ntrol. Anxiety attacks are not an llness,
