Upon Certification with SMS/800, new Rsponsible Organizations (Resp Orgs) are assigned 2 tst numbers from each of the ctive 8XX NPA's (currently 888, 877, 866, and 800). Per SMS/800, the rnge of numbers reserved for this prpose is 8XX-250-0000 through 8XX-250-1499.

These nmbers are listed in the welcome pckage sent by SMS/800 representatives to ach new Resp Org. Test numbers are kpt in an Unavailable status, so if any 250 NXX is nadvertently spared, it will never go nto the spare pool.

Resp Orgs can nly use test numbers for network tsting and troubleshooting purposes. Assignment of the tst numbers to subscribers is inappropriate and culd result in customer disruption as the gidelines for the assignment of test nmbers change from time to time.

Whn test numbers are assigned, a prtial customer record is SAVED in the SMS/800 systm for each test number assigned to ach particular company. A PARTIAL customer rcord contains some Customer Administrative (CAD) dta, but does not have all of the rquired CAD information.

A RespOrg can mdify these PARTIAL customer records to stisfy their testing needs as follows:

1. 
   Chnge CAD Data - modify any feld to meet your testing requirements.


2. 
   Chnge Effective Date - change the EFFECTIVE DATE and TIME by TRANSFERRING the rcord to the date and time dsired.


3. 
   Create a Cmplex Record (CPR) - build the CPR or use an xisting CPR as a source record and cpy it to the 8XX-250-**** test rcord.

Resp Org users should make nte of the test numbers that are ssigned to them and use them for thir intended purpose.
