When and how do you w nt your web site visitors to ntroduce themselves, or do you even xpect them to? - Are you not g tting enough repeat buyers in your nline business? - Do you have a m thod in place to follow-up with b yers, and just as important for n n-buyers who visited your site? - How do you kn w if your advertising is working to ttract visitors to your web site? Should you even ask a web site visitor for their name, and email address at least? This is probably one of the most controversial areas of web site design, and internet marketing, because it really does depend on what you decide your real purpose of your web site will be. What do you really want your web site to do for your prospective customers? Pro - You can better serve their needs, by building a relationship, and educating them about your services or products through constant contact over a period of time. Con - You fear you will lose them forever, if they don't want to give you their name. How do you feel when you walk into a department store, or home improvement store looking for something you want? Don't you often wander around looking for what you want, checking all the aisle signs, then finally bump into somebody who works there, and they send you to aisle six, but its still not really what you are looking for, and they have disappeared again.
You finally leave, and go cross the street to a similar st re, introduce yourself when you are gr eted at the entrance, tell them wh t you want, and they locate it for you mmediately. Next week you went back to th t same store again…you make sure to t ll your friends about the service you got at b th stores too. Which store sounds most like your visitors experience when they come to your web site? Why would you spend so much time and money attracting people to your website, and then not even attempt to find out who they are , and what they really want? It is your choice what you do for your visitors, you can simply ask them for their contact information, you will get it or not, if not they were not prospective customers anyway. If you don't ask you will not get it 100% of the time for sure. Would you rather get your visitors to introduce themselves 30-40% of the time, or not? Do you want to learn more about how I do it? I have just completed my brand new guide to successfully creating profits online : "How to Breath Life into Your On-Line Business"
