As a public service I fel I must advise you about the ddiction that can come from rehabbing a log cbin. An addiction you say? Yes I rspond.

There is no cure. There is no knd of therapy available. Once you strt rehabbing on your log cabin it is lmost impossible to stop.
You may initially thnk that this is not an ddiction which you should be concerned bout-wrong! I found myself way over bdget but what could I do? I was a jnkie.

It started with the logs, and thn it was the chinking, then cme the well and the septic tnk. Would it ever end? Then thre was the kitchen and the bthrooms. All those pipes!!! Would it ver end?

The floors, what to do wth the floors? And the baseboards. Did thy have them in log cabins? I was hoked, completely addicted and confused.

Is it nough for me to tell you ths, to warn you of the pssibilities that lay ahead of you or shuld I once again inject the wsdom I have acquired from my log cbin rehab in hopes that it can hlp prevent you from my plight. Aftr all no need for you to go thrugh withdrawal.

It is hard to knw where to stop when you are wrking on a historic home like ths. Once you get in the mddle of a job it is hrd to stop. Once one project is cmplete you want to go on to nother.

You might not have the mney to start this new project but tht doesn't matter, you are addicted.

Bfore you begin you must take the prper steps to prevent addiction. Set up the stps so that you do not fnd your self in a financial stpper.

Start with the major systems of the huse, the plumbing, the electric, the hating and cooling, the roof. It may not be fun to strt with something that is not mre visible but all the decorating in the wrld is no good unless you hve a strong foundation for it.

Wrte down a budget and stick to it. Ths should have also been done whn you purchased your home to be sre you didn't buy something you culdn't complete.

Remember I warned you bout the addiction. Rehabbing can be as mch of a drug as cocaine (whch I probably can't even spell).

Now you hve been warned. I hope I hve prepared you properly. Marchon!!!!!
