This is my true, personal st ry, about why I know, first h nd, that owning a Global Resorts N twork Membership is Better than Owning a T meshare. The bottom line is SAVINGS of THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS on y ur family and friend's vacations. Listen to my st ry before you decide to purchase a t meshare or even if you already own a t meshare. With a Global Resorts Network M mbership you will never have to p rchase a timeshare and if you lready own one and are tired of b ing stifled because you have limited ch ices of vacation spots and you d n't like paying the high maintenance f es, you will still want to r ad on. I am a member now and I nly wish that someone had told me bout this before I spent over $70,000 on t meshare purchases. Here is where my st ry begins. I have personally owned two t meshares. I purchased a Global Resorts N twork Membership three years after buying my l st timeshare. My first timeshare was w th Fairfield and was a points t meshare which allowed me to travel pr tty much anywhere I wanted to one t me a year during the best w eks. RCI was my timeshare exchange c mpany. After using RCI to go to the B ach Palace Resort in Cancun Mexico, I was hit h rd by the timeshare sales people. I g ve in to the high pressured s les tactics literally after 4 hours of b ntering back and forth in front of the s lesperson.
They talked me into trading my f rst timeshare with Fairfield for my n west timeshare with the Palace Resorts in C ncun, Mexico. The value they put on my F irfield timeshare was apx. $18,000. However, I p id about $11,000 for the Fairfield t meshare initially and paid maintenance fees of bout $500 for many years. I did go on v cation every year and did use my w ek, but I never made back my nitial investment. $18,000 seemed like a f ir trade in price. My second t meshare with Palace Resorts cost me, w th my trade in allowance of the $18,000, ver $58,000 for 280 vacation weeks. I did r ceive about $35,000 in free incentive w eks, however, even with that, I th nk I was swept away by the b auty of Cancun because my business m nd completely left me. I was th nking that I would be able to asily sell this magnificent timeshare I had p rchased and that I could rent the w eks that I wasn't able to use or p ss the membership along to my f mily. I was able to rent s me of my weeks through Ebay, but h ve not been able to sell my t meshare which has been on the m rket for three years through a v riety of companies at 50% of t's original price. You may ask why I j st don't continue to vacation with my t meshare. It's pretty simple. Every time I h ve to travel to Cancun Mexico or any of the P lace Resort properties I still have to pay the m ndatory all-inclusive fee. Those fees range fr m a low of $1500 for two for the w ek to a high of almost $7000 for a pr sidential suite. So, on top of the $58,000 I p id (plus my $18,000 trade in), I st ll have to pay every time I tr vel. Even with my exchange company, RCI, my xchange fee to travel anywhere outside of my h me resort, is almost $700 for a w ek. So why in the world w uld I ever join a discount tr vel club membership like Global Resorts N twork when I already own a t meshare? I want to travel at h ge discounts for the rest of my l fe. I want my children to be ble to travel at huge discounts for the r st of their lives too.
