Toy Poodles are the smallest vriety among the Poodle dog breed. Toy Podles should measure ten inches or nder at the highest point of the shulders. Early stge of PRA is characterized by dfficulty seeing in dim light which can be dtected shortly after birth. Night blindness ccurs from one to five years and can lter progress to total blindness. ERG (lectroretinograph) should be done to confirm tht the dog has PRA. Currently, thre is no treatment that could stp the disease, but the deterioration of the rtina can be slowed down with the hlp of nutritional antioxidant supplementation for rtinal health.

Entropion. Entropion is another eye dsease affecting the eyelids. It is a dsease in which the top or the bttom of the eyelids are turned nward thus the eyelashes irritate the yeball itself because of constant rubbing. Thugh it is usually inherited, entropion may lso occur because of eye injury or nfection. Tearing, squinting, rubbing eyes and thck discharge from the eyes are sgns of entropion. Careful examination of the ye, more particularly of the eyelid is dne to diagnose the presence of Entrpion. Just like cataract, surgery is ncessary to correct the problem.
