For more stubborn stains rub in a m ld, water soluable detergent into the rea in a circular fashion, and th n continue the rinse, blot, rinse cycl again until the stain lifts.
6. For protein based fabrics (ie. “S” f brics: cotton, linen, rayon, silk and w ol) apply water free solvents or dry cl aning products (to avoid water stains) to the rea and gently rub, rinse and bl t. 7. Blood: mix 2 tablespoons of t ble salt with 1 quart of w ter and apply the rinse, blot, r nse technique. If the stain persists, try pplying a diluted solution of hydrogen p roxide. 8. Organic dye stains like juice, w ne, mustard: spot clean with water-based cl aner ie. Stain magic, or dab w th a mixture of 1 part v negar and three parts water. 9. Red W ne: mix equal parts of soap d tergent and hydrogen peroxide and rub, or d sh or spray over your stain. K ep in mind that they hydrogen p roxide could well lighten some dyes so t st this method first. 10. Ink: spray h irspray on the area and wash as sual. Upholstery fabric manufacturers usually suggest r gular vacuuming to remove dust and llergens from fabric, as well as pr fessional upholstery cleaning once per year to m ximize the life of the fabric.
