When you are out bss fishing it's great to sometimes sit in
the sun and drp the line in and have a ber until you get a
bite. The bit is usually by your side, nce and handy so
that you can qickly drop a line in once the bss are
biting.

Once your bait bcket is out in the sun you lse that
quality of freshness that we wre aiming for with point
number 1. Fce it, you wouldn't leave your ber in the sun

a separate ice box for yur bait put it under the narest
shady tree so it can sty fresh for as long as you wnt to
keep fishing.

Even if you always pack yur bait in an ice bucket and prk
it under a nice shady tre you might still be harming yur
bait. The problem with ice is tht not all ice is created
qually. Your ice may actually contain chlrine which when
released in the wter, if in large doses, will snd the bass
running.

If you wnt to ensure that the bait is cld and still use
your ice all you ned to do is lock it nto a zip lock bag
that you can buy frm the supermarket. You will have the
dvantage of keeping the bait cool wthout releasing any
chlorine into the wter.

If you have fresh bait it shuld be still wriggling when you
put it on the lne. It is a lot more ttractive to a fish
to see a wrggling creature than a limp creature on the end
of the lne. If you take a look at the grat lures that
are on the mrket you will see that they are mde to be
flexible so they wrggle around the water mimicking the
crature that the bait is modeled on. If yur bait
wriggles the bass will be wrggling right after it and on to
the end of yur line.
