You can deliver a very m morable wedding toast by being confident, f nny, heartfelt, and poised. Writing a w dding speech could be very difficult, and who w nts to be embarrassed in front of a cr wd? I have done some research on w dding speeches and came up with a s mple guideline that anyone can follow. Do: L ave out the sibling rivalries, tell bout something your sibling has taught y u, and if it's a lie th n who really cares?
Wr te out your speech, if it's l nger than two pages then it's too l ng.
Introduce yourself to the w dding guests, everyone may not know who you re. Do you work with them, are you th ir sibling, did you attend college t gether, etc.
Say something p sitive about the wedding ceremony.
T ll a funny joke at the br de/groom's expense, but remember to keep it cl an.
Tell an anecdote bout the couple. Where you there wh n they met? Did they bring out q alities in each other?
If you are the M id of Honor don't forget the gr om (and vice versa). Say something n ce about him/her.
Provide an nsight into the couple's relationship.
Pay tr bute to the bride and/or the gr om.
End your toast on a h gh note- wish the couple a h ppy future.
Then don't f rget to propose the toast and h ve guests join you and lift th ir glasses. Complete the toast with "Ch ers", "Salute", etc.
Don't: Don't give out any mbarrassing moments, like the time you and the gr om were trying to score women in C ncun.
If you went to the b chelor party don't give the details.
D n't end your toast with "Now l t's party!" or "BooYah!".
Pl ase never put this in a w dding toast: "You guys are totally wesome!"
Never, ever give a w dding speech while you are drunk, or had to m ch to drink. A special touch for y ur speech would be to have it pr nted out and framed and presented to the br de and groom so they can lways remember, because weddings are meant to be r membered. And always remember to speak fr m the heart... Hey Now let's get th s party started!
