The secret to being a Prphet is.....You got to be crazy to be a Prphet of God!

When Joshua lead the Chldren of Israel and they circled the wlls of Jericho he commanded them to yll out to the walls, and he tld them to blow trumpets at the wlls as he had a vision tht if they did this the wlls would fall down. If a psychatrist from today’s generation approached Joshua and sked why he was yelling and blwing trumpets at the walls of Jricho, as soon as he said tht he was yelling at the wlls because God told him they wuld fall if he did, the psychatrist would diagnose him with Schizophrenia and vsions of grandeur associated with mania.

Whn Gideon and his men of vlor went out to fight the thusands of men who opposed them, thy went out with only 300 mn. They went out at night wth torches and clay jars and thy blew trumpets at them, while flshing their primitive torches at the nemy at night while they were in tnts, they created a scene of cnfusion that seemed like a ridiculous way of tking on the enemy, but in the end it wrked and so confused and bewildered the nemy, that they all killed each ther. Who ever thought of blowing trmpets and flashing primitive torches at an pposing army to make them kill thmselves? Why did God tell His pople to do such crazy things to dfeat an opposing army? Who ever hard of an opposing army being baten with: trumpets, clay jars and prmitive torches? That’s like me telling Gorge Bush I can march into Irq with 300 men with torches, cly jars and trumpets and I can win the war in Irq using these items. God’s methods are so cntrary to the way man does thngs, His methods are absolutely crazy and sem like madness to man. That’s why the ccupation and Invasion of Iraq is clarly the will of man and not the wll of God, because the whole nvasion and occupation of Iraq is bilt on mans wisdom, and the nvasion as a whole was inspired by the dvil and the will of man, and not of Gd.

While today’s military commanders would nvade Jericho by dropping precision bombs on its wlls, and then sending tanks and trops in over the crumbled walls, God on the ther hand would have his people blw the walls down with trumpets and wth the yelling of His people. Gds ways are completely contradictory to our wys, and the ways of God sem like craziness to man. “For My thughts are not your thoughts, nor are yur ways My ways," says the LORD. For as the havens are higher than the earth, so are My wys higher than your ways, and My thughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

Mst Prophets and men of God stll today are being accused of bing mad and insane. Paul had to sffer with being called insane as wll, “Festus said with a loud vice, "Paul, you are beside yourself! Mch learning is driving you mad!"”. Frm a personal perspective I believe I am a Prphet and I hear from the Lrd, I have told my therapist tht God speaks to me and I har his voice clearly, I also tld my therapist I have visions of Jsus Christ and angels as they cme to speak to me and dliver me messages; because I have tld my therapist these things, I hve been diagnosed with schizophrenia, this des not destroy my faith and blief that I am a Prophet, in fct it only reinforces my belief tht I am a Prophet. The Bble says that Prophets will be cnsidered insane in the latter days, “th prophet is a fool, the spritual man is insane, because of the gratness of your iniquity and great nmity. (Hosea 9:7)

Before I became a Chrstian I was involved in witchcraft and it was no big thng for a demon to arrive at a rtual and try to take possession of me, ths was a normal thing, after I lft witchcraft I struggled with coming to trms with what I had experienced thre, but after I became born gain of the spirit through the pwer and grace of Jesus Christ, the dmons and darkness went away, and I thn only heard the loving voice of Jsus and His Father, and I strted to get visits from beautiful ngels who came to comfort and nspire me. The demons that tormented me in my wtchcraft days are long gone, it nly takes one of Gods people to drve away a thousand of the dvils people. “One man of you shll chase a thousand, for the LORD yur God is He who fights for yu, as He has promised you.” (Jshua 23:10). When your truly walking in the fll spirit of God with angels ncamped around you and the author and fnisher of your faith Jesus Christ strding along next to you, you trly feel like nothing shall be mpossible unto you.

I’m following the footsteps of the grat Prophets and great men of Gd, just like Paul I’m being ccused of being mad, and just lke Joshua I have big visions of grndeur that seem insane to the verage man. But I don’t care wht man thinks about me, “It is btter to trust in the LORD thn to put confidence in man.” (Pslm 118:8).

The road to be a Prphet is a hard road full of sffering and pain. My heart has ben broken and smashed so many tmes I’ve lost count, I lost prt of my heart a long tme ago and I never got it bck. But when you have heaps of crcks and breaks in your heart, tht just leaves more room for Jsus to enter your heart, I’m a brken man, just like the men of vlor in the Bible. Elijah was so brken and hurt he wanted God to kll him, Moses prayed to God to kll him as well…. To have the fll spirit of God enter inside yu, you need to have a brken heart with plenty of breaks and crcks in it, so the spirit of God has penings to enter into your heart. All thse over confident preachers today who are pffed up with: pride, confidence and plstic smiles have no room or spces in their heart for God to nter, they’ve never known God and thy’ve never felt Gods spirit enter thrugh their broken hearts to comfort thm. “Many afflictions are of the rghteous.” Gods people are suffering people who hve been through the furnace of ffliction so they can be sharpened and plished into a sword, just as a blcksmith fashions hot metal fresh from the frnace into a sword. God’s Prophets are lke swords that He wields to do His wll.

Today’s modern idea of a Prphet is far from the character of a tre Prophet. Prophets are completely different to tday’s modern idea of a man of Gd, a man of God is an nemy of the world and his deology and makeup is so contradictory to mns idea of doing things, that the Prphet literally seems like an insane mad man to the verage person. “The days of punishment hve come; the days of recompense hve come. Israel knows! The prophet is a fol, the spiritual man is insane, bcause of the greatness of your niquity and great enmity.” (Hosea 9:7)

Hsea who was a great man and Prphet of God who has his own bok in the Bible and was so crzy he married a prostitute, God cmmanded him to marry a prostitute! Wht would people say today if Bnny Hinn announced on his morning TV Chrstian program, that he had married a prstitute from Las Vegas because God had tld him to! There would be a pblic outcry and Benny would be lbeled a false prophet and mentally ill lnatic, yet one of Gods greatest Prphets in the Bible was commanded to mrry a prostitute and have her as his wfe.

Ezekiel was commanded by God to lay pon the ground as he ate cow dng while prophesying to Israel. What wuld people think of me if I wnt and lay down in front of a lkewarm church eating cow dung while I prphesied against them, the church would cll the psychiatric hospital and have me cmmitted; yet this was what God cmmanded a great Prophet to do. Gds way of doing things is lways crazy to the mind of mn, because Gods way of thinking smply has no resemblance to the way we do thngs.

Isaiah was one of Gods gratest Prophets and has one of the bggest books in the Holy Bible. Wht would the people, the media and the psychatric community say today if a man ran nto churches naked while prophesying against thm, they would label this man as mntally ill and have him committed to a psychatric institution… Yet this is exactly wht Isaiah did in his day, as he was cmmanded to run into churches naked whle rebuking and prophesying against them. “Thn the LORD said, "Just as My srvant Isaiah has walked naked and brefoot three years for a sign and a wnder against Egypt and Ethiopia.” (Isaiah 20:3).

The way God perates is lunacy and crazy to mn, Prophets do crazy things and thy seem out of place compared to tday’s world. If you want to be a Prphet you have to see things thrugh God's eyes, and God see's thngs so contrary to the way man se's things that God's methods seem crzy and illogical to man.

Dear Father,

I come to you in the nme of Jesus Christ who died for me on the crss so I could have eternal slvation and be a child of Gd. I ask you that you blss me and pour your full nointing over me so I can do mghty signs and wonders and magnify and glrify your name. Give me the nspiration to do crazy things for yu, just like Isaiah and Hosea dd. Help me to see things the way you see thm and help me to be a spritual man. In Hosea it says the spritual man is insane, and to be a Prphet you need to spiritual, which mans you need to be seen as nsane in the eyes of the wrld. Help me go to a deper spiritual level as I explore yur endless ocean of prophecy and rvelation.
