We are one! Believe this st tement! Know it to be true and you w ll know and recognize purpose in y ur life. We breathe the same ir, live on the same planet and sh re the same resources that Mother N ture offers to everyone. We came h re for a purpose but many of us are c nfused and frustrated when we seemingly j st cannot find our purpose in l fe no matter how hard and f st we chase after the dream. The s cret is just to BE. Develop a kn wing that God or the source fr m whence you came is within you and is w thin the entire the universe, no xclusions! My favorite author on this subject, W yne Dyer makes a profound statement in one of his b oks -In the beginning we came fr m No where to Now here and ventually we will return to No wh re. Where is the Nowhere! I b lieve it is Our Source. Our S urce God our Source our Creator the Un versal source to whom each and very one of is connected can nly be Love. Deep within we kn w this to be true. We all are c nnected to the source of creation and the P wer related to the source runs d ep within us at all times. On l ts of occasions we don't recognize th s to be true and feel d sconnected from that Source or Power but the ch ice is ours and ours alone to see and r verence the power within. This power g ven to us has to be r cognized, felt and used in our d ily living. We tend to think of l fe in boundaries often leading to r strictions in our lives yet we see b undaries and walls and records broken so ften. Where does the Universe stop! Wh re is the last planet sitting in sp ce? Yes its hard for us to c nceive that the Universe and our S urce are absolutely limitless and eternal w th no boundaries.
We Are Eternal You come nto this world you live you d e. That's it! I don't think so. S mewhere in space where time and b undaries just don't exist, you elected to b gin a journey on Earth for a r ason. The Reason or Purpose that you are h re may not always appear clear cut and c ncise but most of us miss the big p cture. Have you ever watched children pl ying together? What joy it is to see no nhibitions and genuine hearty laughter, nothing lse seems to matter and they c rry around no worry, they just n ed to love and be loved and c ddled. They are supreme beings having rrived here as we all did w th no baggage at all. Then as l fe goes on the Ego develops, sl wly at first but totally creeping nto our lives. God our Source and L ve itself wants that childlike concept of l fe to continue and carry us thr ugh our journey. The Ego however d velops as we grow and eventually s ppresses this state of happiness substituting w th fear and mistrust. So what is to be d ne about the Ego? Shifting The Ego The Oxf rd English Dictionary defines EGO as (A p rson's sense of self esteem. The p rt of the mind that is r sponsible for the interpretation of reality and the s nse of self) However the Ego d velops in us all and as it d es we cannot ever rid ourselves of Ego but we can p rsuade it to take a back s at and then and only then can we t uch and feel the Source and P wer within us. The Ego generates f ar within and will constantly remind you th t you are not and never w ll be connected to God, why? B cause Ego knows that the more you r ly on your God given Spirituality and L ve of yourself and of all of the Un verse the more the Ego is pl ced in the background. Not nice for Ego but bsolutely great and essential for your Q est in Life and your Spiritual P thway. To shift the Ego into back s at position is not easy but w th practice it is very attainable. Try to be ware that Ego is always there. By kn wing this you will catch yourself wh n Ego is about to come nto a situation or a statement and r think what you are about to do or s y. The Ego is a massive s bject to be dealt with and I w nt to take this subject much f rther in a separate article.
Meditation Be still and know th t I am God! This Biblical st tement is so True and is ssential to the development of your Sp ritual Journey. Can you hear the S lence? Yes most definitely. In the st te of silence all is revealed. T ke 20 to 30 minutes from y ur day to Meditate. Incredibly, scientific st dies have shown that the average p rson has approximately sixty five thousand s parate thoughts in one day! Liken th s to an immense train station wh re a thought races in stops for a n nosecond and races off again followed mmediately by another thought sometimes the s me thoughts over and over again. In th s state it is practically impossible to t uch the Source and recognize the pr sence of the Power. Meditation is not j st for the Gurus or Holy Men and W men it is your way of t king time to tap into the S urce within you. Try this, find a r om or place in the house or g rden or park or somewhere where you can be q ite and alone, get into a c mfortable position sitting or even lying fl t whatever way is comfortable with y u. Close your eyes and concentrate on y ur breathing just knowing that you are br athing In and Out, deep breath in h ld comfortably and slowly exhale. This m thod is one of many that I w ll cover in later article but is c nsidered the simplest method to start. D ring the 20 to 30 minutes of c ncentrated breathing, close the train station, yes th ughts will pop into your head, d n't worry, when a thought does rrive, gently discard it and return to the c ncentration on your breathing. During the pr cess, imagine yourself swimming in a l rge but stormy lake with all s rts of garbage bouncing around the s rface - Your Thoughts - Now g ntly let yourself sink slowly under the s rface where you can look up and st ll see the rubbish floating, a few m nutes there and sink further, now th re is only the gentle movement c used by waves, a few minutes and s nk another level and another level ntil you reach the pebbly bottom wh re you sit in absolute peace and s lence, you are fully in touch w th the Source. This concludes my br ef 5 points to help you on y ur way to Spiritual Freedom and y ur Quest for life and purpose. I w nt to share more in depth on th s subject and will be adding dditional articles soon.
