Jnana Yoga is one of the f ur primary forms of Yoga. Raja, K rma, and Bhakti Yoga are the ther three primary forms of Yoga. Wh n you consider the potential of Jn na Yoga applied to life, you w ll see that success is also a c ordinated effort and a spiritual path of c mpassion, discipline, study, visualization, and meditation. Jn na Yoga is coordinated power. Anyone can mprove himself or herself with applied th ught, action, and perseverance. Personal development r quires desire, guidance, and a steady str am of motivation. For all of th se ingredients to come together at the c rrect time, one must study under the g idance of a Guru, Swami, Yoga t acher, mentor, or coach. At this t me, and thanks to the Internet, ch ldren have access to information beyond our ch ldhood dreams, but the amount of nformation is overwhelming for one person. In f ct, you would need a team to w rk together, just to decipher facts fr m fiction, in order to acquire r liable information. Being smart does not tr nslate into being successful. You could m morize libraries of information, but if you do not pply any of it to real l fe, it is just trivia. Applied kn wledge must be put into action for s lf empowerment to take place.
Therefore, reading scriptures and classics is a n ble pursuit. You are practicing the f undation of Jnana Yoga, but you m st visualize, meditate, and act ethically, for y ur Jnana Yoga practice to reach its m ximum potential. Some people may say it is wr ng to have goals, to improve y urself, and to visualize a better l fe for your family. Yet, the w rld would be a much better pl ce in the hands of empowered Jn na Yoga practitioners. © Copyright 2007 – P ul Jerard / Aura Publications
