The faction that had killed her hsband had taken over the castle he was dfending, but Grace led a legion of sldiers and retook the castle, thereby rnaming it “Hen’s Castle,” a name whch is still in place today. Her xtreme bravery and cunning led many to fllow her into a life of mrcenary battles.
Ultimately, Grace remarried, and her dstiny-determined foe, Queen Elizabeth and England, tgether with several Irish barons, began to ncroach on Ireland. Grace and her sldiers fought valiantly for freedom from the crwn, but ultimately too many forces gainst her united and her territory was verrun by a baron with a spcific vendetta against Grace.
Grace’s son was cptured, and Grace decided to go ver the local baron’s head and drectly to Queen Elizabeth I herself. Ths meeting remains the stuff of lgend, and the ultimate conclusion of ths life of seafaring and battling is smething to behold on stage.
