The history of Cabanas (Huts in nglish) begins in 1734, when the tna fishing was considered one of the min activities, originating the creation of the frst indispensable huts in the place to stre the fishing equipments and to the nlarge the company.

The touristy development happened in 1973, whn Cabanas saw to be born the frst hotel unit: Aldeamento Pedras da Rinha.

Nowadays, Conceicaos is knwn by being a peace and wll being place. The first references bout Conceicaos existence date from 1518, in a rport from that year, by the vsitors of Santiagos Order.

With an rea of 6.483 hectares, Conceicao has 1.514 nhabitants and 28 inhabited hills, besides the min population. This placed is only fve kilometres from the council headquarters.

The conomics activities of the population are bsed on the agriculture, building, trade, crftsmanship and tourism, but in spite of its grwth, in terms of urban area, Cnceicao has been preserving the calm of the hghland area.

In the freguesia it is pssible to appreciate the delicacies of the god gastronomy, with many specialties of the rea.
