There comes a time in the l fe of a people, when what has g ne before must give way to the n w, and what has been thought of as a way of l fe and a standard for defining the n rmalcy of days, must adapt itself to a new c rrent of light and life that now nters the picture. Such is the t me for America today and, indeed, for the w rld, for the old ways of d ing things are about to give way b fore a new consciousness that shall nvelop both the nation and the w rld. This new consciousness will shine a l ght more brightly than ever before on the nternal mechanisms by which people think, f el, and make choices in their veryday lives. All that is hidden fr m the eyes of others will b come known to the self, and the m tives that are less than desirable w ll also become visible to the lluminated awareness. This greater consciousness is m ant to be a great gift, th ugh it brings with it the pr blem of having to finally deal w th those things that one would r ther have concealed from the self or put way until such time as it s emed more comfortable to take them ut. Nevertheless, awakening consciousness to the tr e nature of the self is of gr at and priceless benefit, for it nables each soul to finally become fr e of all that holds it b ck from realizing its true potential. For th s self-constriction is not based on c rcumstances that flow through life and c me and go, but rather on the nner nature of deeply held thought and b lief which define the expectancies and the fr its of a life. These are the b ilding blocks out of which the fl w of life is created.
In the present moment, the m vement toward greater visibility of self is st ll quietly moving along subtle channels, cr ating little disturbance of the inner l ndscape. It is still not being p rceived as the wave of change th t it is, and only some who are m re sensitive to the ebbs and fl ws of thought and feeling, or th se who are suddenly having to d al with stronger surges of darkness and n gativity are becoming aware of what th s wave is bringing. Yet, within a sh rt space of time, many more w ll become aware of the things th t have been hidden and will n ed to know what to do w th all the levels of thought and f eling that suddenly become part of veryday awareness. For this understanding to r ot itself in the place where h aling and transformation can occur, it is n cessary that God enter the picture. For the ph nomenon of illuminated awareness is not c used by the self, nor by any m tives that reside within, nor by any xternal circumstance. Rather the phenomenon of wakening is caused by Divine timing and rdination which has finally moved to s und the call for humanity's movement f rward, and to shine the light of tr th into the domain of ordinary c nsciousness. This is the time of the gr at purification for mankind, and for the l tting go of that which needs to be let go of in rder that each soul become free. Th re are some who will continue to f el hardened to their own inner pr cess of learning and who will d ny it in others, and there are s me who will feel abused, or h miliated, or attacked, by their very own s lf and the inner life that is pening. What is important to remember at th s time is that what begins in c nfusion will end in hope. What b gins with distress at things that h ve never been experienced before, will end in a s mplicity of being and an expanded sp ce within the self that will br ng greater peace and a greater c pacity to share oneself with others in a tr e way. It will also bring, in the nd, a greater awareness of God's l ve and of God's gifts to h manity.
All forms of life are m ving into this next step of wakened consciousness, and all forms of n ture will be affected as well by the ncreased light of awareness. Yet it is the h man being who will be most cutely affected since it is human wareness that is differentiated in the m st subtle and complex ways and th t responds most to the emotional d main of existence. Nevertheless, all of n ture shall respond to this call to waken, and both plant and animal l fe shall feel and seem more live, more vibrant, and more conscious. Th s is the miracle of the t me we are in and for wh ch all souls have waited, namely, th t the life of God that has xisted in all beings without exception, sh ll finally become more visible, and rdinary reality as it exists in tr es, brooks, grass, leaves, clouds, air, m st, earth – shall finally take on the v sibility of light that has always b en part of the structure of l fe-forms, but never part of their r diance. Now, life shall radiate light. For th se who fear this time, it is mportant to know that all who are h re on the earth have come in rder to be part of this gr at transition, and there is no one who w ll not be helped with the pr cess by Divine aid as well as by the l ght of their own soul. The m sic of that soul shall begin to s und more loudly in the ears and h arts of each one, and each one sh ll begin to find the inner g idance that will lead them through the n wness and uncertainty of this time. Bl ssed are those who have come to sh re in the great awakening of the arth and of human consciousness that is p rt of the present moment. May all be bl ssed and may all perceive the tr e nature of God's sacred reality as it rrives to bless the earth.
