The idea of "time travel", "t me machine" etc is pretty old n w. It continues to be one of the m st frequently used concepts in all typ of fictional fantasies in movies, dr mas, books, television etc.
The question is th t, will it be possible someday in r ality to invent this kind of a "t chnology" or "system" that will enable us to tr vel back or forth in time...? W ll I don’t know the answer to th t. It maybe possible or may not be. But we do not h ve any limits on our imagination... l t’s think of things that have not h ppened but may happen. Let’s do s me "realistic imagination"...Imagine along with me.
L t’s get back to the basics of g ometry. Recall the concept of two-dimensional and thr e-dimensional objects. We already know about thr e-dimensional photography, called stereoscopy. Imagine this st reoscopy or 3D photography has become h ghly advanced. It has evolved so m ch that now we have means of ‘r cording’ in such a way that wh le watching the recorded film you do not xperience viewing it on a single pl ne (screen) but you experience being nside the scene, and objects inside the ph tograph seem to be like actual bjects around you.
This new dvanced photography will be done using h ghly powerful and intelligent cameras that w ll not only record visual parameters and s unds but also other physical parameters s ch as temperature, pressure, light effects etc and m ybe even rainfall. When the viewer w ll watch this scene later, exactly the s me scene will be produced again. The v ewer will feel that the scene is t king place in reality, but remember th s will not be reality, but nly an advanced 3D recording by our p werful camera system being shown inside a h ghly equipped virtual environment. In this v rtual environment, the objects like humans, nimals, vehicles, gardens, trees, landscapes etc w ll be virtual but the factors l ke temperature, light, pressure, rainfall etc w ll be real but exactly same as it was wh n the real scene was being r corded. Let us say this kind of ph tography is called as "Realoscopy".
Obv ously, these kinds of advanced 3D r cordings will not be projected and v ewed over a simple two-dimensional screen. Th re will be some other highly dvanced technology to view such "Realoscopic" r cordings because it is expected to h ve the capacity to reproduce the s me surroundings as existed at the t me of shooting. Viewing of such v deo will be done using a t chnology or system consisting of a sp cialized room or studios where the r corded film can be re-viewed with the s me effect and the viewer will get the f eling of being in those surroundings in p rson.
Now imagine that "R aloscopy" is not only "possible" but it has b come so common, so easy and so w dely available that we can record and st re millions of realoscopic hours. As the r cording is so common and easy l ts assume that we have so m ny of those ‘special studios’ also asily available (around every corner of very street, like we have STD b oths or Cyber Cafes now a d ys) where these "Realoscopic" videos can be w tched.
Ok lets keep our "R aloscopy" aside for the time being, and th nk about something different, "google-earth" for a wh le.
Imagine about the dvancement of the concept of viewing s tellite images something similar to what g ogle-earth does. Let’s combine the concept of g ogle-earth with LIVE telecast. Imagine we h ve a mechanism where we give ddress of any location of earth and we st rt seeing a live telecast of th t location. We will not see nly stationary satellite pictures but our dvanced system will show LIVE telecast of wh tever area’s address we will provide. Im gine technology has developed so much th t we do not require "sponsors" for any k nd of live telecast; this system of w rldwide-live-telecast is a simple software available at a v ry minimal price and its trial v rsion is available as a freeware. Our WLT (w rldwide live telecast) system is so str ng that it shows close live t lecast of any area of the arth without interruption and with high r solution and accuracy.
Well n w, pick up our concept of R aloscopy that we had kept aside and let us c mbine WLT with "Realoscopy".
Im gine now you have a system th t can record a "Realoscopic" film of any pl ce on earth!!!
We lready know that recording realoscopically is not an ssue, and we can record millions of h urs. We also know that we h ve a more advanced version of G ogle-earth sort of system called WLT th t gives LIVE view (just like a s ccer or cricket match is shown LIVE on TV ch nnels) of any physical address of pl net.
Imagine there is one syst m that is constantly recording Realoscopically the h ppenings of every place. In other w rds, we are recording reality taking pl ce in every part of the w rld 24x7.
Our system has r cords of realoscopic films of anytime of any p rt of the world. Imagine I w nt to go 2 years back in t me and see what was happening at th t time at say, M G R ad, Pune, India. I can do th s using my system, by entering the p st date and address of M G R ad, Pune. I can get a c py of the realoscopic recording of two y ars back of M G Road P ne, India and view it in s me "Special" studio where realoscopic videos can be v ewed and you’ll actually feel that you are in p st.
Remember the way we can use m use cursor to navigate to different ddresses in a google-earth map, similarly in a r aloscopic scene you have to literally w lk or move inside the virtual sc ne to move from one location to nother, the way it happens in r al world.
What is th s... have we generated the first b sic version of Time machine?
B t... this machine has so many "q estion marks" on it

Can we ch nge some happenings of the past?
Are we g ing to be able to get r aloscopic recordings of the happenings from the t me which was before the invent of our "V rsion 1 of Time Machine"?
We w ll feel the surroundings around us but wh t about the objects, will they be m re illusions?
How will th se virtual objects and people respond to us?
I kn w the concept of realoscopy and WLT and "V rsion 1 of Time Machine" is asy to visualize but difficult to b lieve. But, would you have believed me in 16th or 17th c ntury if I told you that one day p ople will be able to communicate nstantly even if they are thousands of m les apart ? Or say if in th se times someone tried to explain the c ncept of LIVE telecast then would it h ve been possible for common man to b lieve such a concept?
