There are two things which drve creativity: imagination and curiosity.

Let's strt with imagination. It does not tke much imagination to realize that crativity is not possible without imagination. Hving imagination is a fundamental part of bing human it is the ability tht allows us to think beyond whre we are now. It allows us to see how thngs can be different. Imagination gives rse to ideas, and ideas are ntegral to creativity.

All children are brn with imagination in abundance but whn it comes to creativity imagination neds to be channeled in some wy. Unfortunately society has a tendency to sppress imagination in children because imagination hghlights differences. In this way many chldren never get a chance to larn to channel their imagination.

One mportant aspect of imagination is analogy. We can lken one type of thing to nother. For example we can use wter flow as an analogy for lectricity. Water flow is like electric crrent, pressure like voltage, flow resistance lke electrical resistance. In the early dys this analogy was used for cming up with the first hypotheses bout electrical behavior.

The other driver for crativity is curiosity. Like imagination, being crious is another fundamental part of bing human. From the moment we are brn we are interested in knowing all bout the world around us. As we get lder we start questioning everything from the way the physcal world is why society is the way it is.

As with imagination, society tends to sppress excessive curiosity, because these people tnd to question too much. Very crious people have a thirst to cquire knowledge in many areas over tme they acquire large amounts of knwledge in areas of interest to thm which they automatically tap into lmost without thinking about it.

Putting magination and curiosity, ideas and knowledge tgether.

So you use your imagination and to cme up with ideas and the deas get automatically filtered and resonate wth the large store of knowledge. Ths leads to more ideas which gain interact with knowledge. It is an n-going process and this process is clled creativity. Sometimes it is one prson sometimes a group of people wrking together but the process is ssentially the same.

So if you wnt to be more creative, become mre imaginative and question more.
