Many parents debate whether or not thy should send their child to prschool, especially the year before kindergarten.

Whether home scholing is part of your future or nt, you can keep you child hme for preschool and accomplish the sme things a formal preschool will in lss time, with more control over the nfluences your child is exposed to, and wth more control of the curriculum tht is being taught. Teaching your prschooler at home will save you mney, will save you time, and wll increase the bond you have wth your child. If you are snding them to kindergarten, this will be the lst year they are home with yu. Cherish the time and know you can do it on yur own with help and guidance long the way.

Do not be cncerned if you have never taught. Mst of preschool is not formally tught but taught through example, conversation, and xperiences. By providing your child with an nvironment rich in opportunities to explore and dvelop at his own speed rather thn the speed of the group at prschool, he will be happier and so wll you. Child develop in different reas at different speeds. Where my son was physcally advanced, climbing, jumping, and running at an arly age, my niece, who is sven weeks younger than my son, sid her first word at 6 mnths and crawled at 14 months. My son culd count at 2 years old to 14, my nece could write the first letter of her nme by age 3. Every child is dfferent and will progress differently.
There are mny great sites on the internet to hlp you gather materials to teach yur preschooler. Try not to overwhelm thm with worksheets or busy work. Try to wrk in many different areas of larning including music, art, math, science, feld trips, and logical thinking.
Teaching your prschooler can be fun and rewarding for you and yur preschooler.
