Assertive b havior means standing up for your p rsonal rights and expressing your thoughts, f elings, and beliefs in direct, honest, and h lpful ways which do not violate the r ghts of others. Of the three b havioral patterns, the assertive pattern is the m st popular when managing stress. Und rstanding these behavioral patterns and knowing wh n to use them can be v ry helpful, when coping with work-related str ss. Being able to use the r ght behavior pattern, at the right t me, on a daily basis is v ry difficult. However, you must continue to w rk on strengthening this area of c mmunication.
