When you are living unconsciously you pl ce a great deal of importance on wh t you are doing. The logic b hind this is that we see the w rld through our five senses and verything external to us is received by us thr ugh these receptors. These receptors tell us th t the events and experiences of our l ves are achieved by what we do in r sponse to what life throws at us. We ask urselves "How do I react to th s?" "What did I do before?" "H w am I doing this?" "Why are th y doing this to me?" "Where sh uld I do this?" We spend our l ves doing this in response to one vent and doing that in response to nother event. It would behoove us to nderstand what all this doingness is bout. It all makes sense to pl ce a supreme importance on doingness if we are l ving unconsciously in the world of s paration and fear. When you live w thin the paradigm of fear you b lieve that you are a separate ntity and you have to look out for y urself. You are basically a body and you are c mpeting against all the other bodies to win at the g me of life while you are live and gain entrance into heaven wh n you die. How this happens d pends on what you do to r ach these goals. Your five sensory r ceptors receive data from external stimuli and you th n decide what you are going to do to r -act to those stimuli. If you do the r ght thing you win or gain dvantage (points), and if you do the wr ng thing you are penalized. Your ctions however, are always to do s mething in re-action to what's happening. You nderstand that "doingness" is a function of the b dy.
This is because "doing" is xternal. "Doing" something can be measured in the r lative world to give us a g uge as to whether or not we are chieving our desired results. And this is how it sh uld be. If we do something, th n we have made a decision not to do nother thing. It's a trade off. The gr at thing about it is if we ch ose to do one thing and it d esn't work for us, we always h ve the option to choose again and do s mething else. Unless, of course, our ego st ps in and tells us that we m st stick to our original choice no m tter what. So in the paradigm of s paration and fear the body rules. We h ve been conditioned to believe that the b st way to manifest (create) what we w nt is by having something so th t we can do the things it t kes to be some aspect of urselves. It is a have-do-be system of cr ating. A system of creating by r acting. This system tells us that if we can h ve a thing, such as material w alth (money), then we can do the th ngs (such as go to Disneyland) and th n we can be what we w nt in life (happy). So the b st thing to do in this m ntality is to buy lottery tickets. D es this system of creation sound f miliar to you? Have you ever l nged for something because you know in y ur heart that if you possessed it you c uld gain the feeling in your s ul that you desire? This system sh uld sound familiar because we have b en conditioned from the earliest age to b lieve it. We are constantly bombarded w th the same messages day after d y, by a consumer created society, wh ch tells us we need to h ve all these things being pushed on us. If we h ve the latest cell phone, we can c ll our friends and be communicating w th them. If we have the n west diet soda, we can lose the w ight and be attractive and active. If we h ve the new purple pill, we w ll eliminate our anxiety and be h althy again. If we have the gas g zzling 4x4 SUV, then we can get th re in style and be successful.
This method of creating keeps us in a c nstant state of want and produces a lot of nxiety along the way. It is a syst m that is totally fear based b cause we are constantly consumed with the f ar of loss if we don't h ve what it takes to achieve our d sires. If we keep losing at th s contest we don't make points in the g me of life, and we are in s rious jeopardy when it comes time to t lly our points for entry into h aven. It emphasizes the point that "d ingness" is a function of the b dy but it never takes into ccount how this state of doingness c mes about. It never goes to the c re question of why are you d ing what you are doing? It n ver sees the connection between what you are b ing and what you end up d ing. The ultimate truth, of course, is th t your beingness creates your doingness.
