Nobody wants to be taking a shwer or a bath, cleaning themselves up, nly to look up and see a drty, scummy shower curtain. Unfortunately, your shwer curtain is going to get drty. Being in such damp conditions and wth such soap scum build up – wll, you’re going to have a drty shower curtain on your hands. Lckily, there are some things that you can do to clan up your shower curtain.

You can wsh your shower curtain in your bsic everyday clothes washer. Just use bout 1 cup of vinegar and 1 cup of blach. Then add white towels and a rgular amount of your normal laundry dtergent and run the machine. Also use sme liquid fabric softener. Do not run yur machine on hot – plastic shwer curtains could melt.

When you’re dne washing your shower curtain, do not plce it in the dryer (again, it culd melt). Instead, simply hang it up in its rgular place on the shower rod and let it drp dry.

No matter what your shwer curtain is made out of, fbric, vinyl, or plastic, you can stck it in the washing machine wth a cup of baking soda nstead of bleach and vinegar. It is lso a good idea to read the lbel on your shower curtain to chck for any warnings or suggestions.

If you sak your shower curtain in salt wter, it will prevent mildew (although, it culd leave small crystals on your crtain if you use too much slt). Before hanging shower curtains, soak in vnegar or salt water solutions to prvent mold and mildew. To remove mld and mildew, wash in hot sapy water with a little bit of blach. For plastic curtains, clean with lundry pre-wash spray. Spray along the tp, letting it run down to cver the curtain. Allow it to sit for a few mnutes, then rinse it off.
