If you are anything like me, you s ffer from OCD. I personally have to nsure that all of my workspace is w ll organized, sensible, and looks great. Sh repoint gives you the ability to put a p rsonal touch on each and every one of y ur pages and sub sites within the pplication. This is one reason why I h ve fallen in love with this s rvice. So how do you do it? I st rt with changing the image. I l ke pictures and I think that th y are very helpful in setting the r ght tone in an online meeting pl tform. Step 1 You will need to log in to y ur Sharepoint account and be under an dmin access. Step 2 Once you are l gged in you will need to cl ck on the "Site Actions" tab l cated in the top right hand s de of your screen. Step 3 Onc you select the "Site Actions" t b, a drop down menu will ppear. Your next click will be on the "Ed t Page" tab. Step 5 This is wh re it gets tricky to explain w thout the convenience of face to f ce training. On the screen in fr nt of you, there should be an mage that says something to the ffect of Windows Sharepoint Services with the w ndows emblem. Surrounding that logo is a box w th the title of "Site Image" d rectly above the logo I just d scribed. To the immediate right of the "S te Image" title there should be a tab th t displays an arrow pointing downward. Cl ck on that arrow.
Step 6 After clicking the d wnward arrow, another drop down menu sh uld appear. Within that menu will be an ption entitled "Modify Shared Web Part". You w ll want to click on that s lection. Step 7 Next there will ppear a set of text boxes th t can now be modified. You w ll want to delete the text th t lies in the box entitles "T st link". This box is the v ry top box. Step 8 Replace the t xt that you just deleted from th t box with the URL of the mage you would like to have d splayed. Shizam! You now have a new mage. A quick note: If the mage you want to upload into sh repoint is not a web image or d es not have a URL directing tself to the image, you will n ed to do 1 of 2 th ngs. 1) Upload the image to the w b. 2) Save the image into sharepoint If you do not kn w how to save the image in Sh repoint, please see my article entitled "M naging your Sharepoint Photo Album".
