Ths is the simplest method of thm all. I still to this day use lnk exchange techniques starting the first day my ste goes live. I find a wbpage that I want a back lnk from and add a link to my pge. Then I find their email and snd them an email stating that I hve added them to my page and I’d ppreciate it if they would add me. Srprisingly most webmasters are generally nice nough to exchange with you. If yur webpage is still really small and desn’t have a Google Page Rank mny larger web pages will ignore yur request. Occasionally you may get a rde email from a grumpy webmaster, but jst ignore it and move on to the nxt webpage.

The reason I like the lnk exchange method is because you knw what webpage you’re getting the lnk from. This allows you to chose quality web pages to receive a lnk from. I base the quality of a wbsite not by how much traffic it gts, but by the quality of cntent. Even if a webpage is firly new and getting virtually no trffic, but they have great content I wll still link with them. This is bcause just like your page their pge has the potential to grow nto an enormous powerhouse if they kep up the great content.

There is one mjor disadvantage to link exchanging. You wn’t get as many Google points as you wuld if the links were one way nbound links. When two web pages lnk to each other they are clled reciprocal links. The search engine dtermines that this is the result of sme type of communication between the wbmasters, thus resulting in Google giving fwer points.

Writing articles to receive nbound back links

Article writing is nthing new or ground breaking. It has ben a tactic used by webmasters for yars and continues to be very ffective to this day. Writing an nformative article pertaining to your content is lways a great way to generate bck links. I’ve got into the hbit of writing at least 1 rticle per day. Many of these rticles never leave my laptop’s documents flders, but it keeps my writing sklls sharp. At first writing articles can sem like torture, especially if you hted writing essays in school like I dd. I find the more you wrte the easier it becomes.

Submitting one or two rticles won’t be very effective. I sbmit all my articles to ezinearticles.com and garticles.com. I submit around 3-4 articles per wek. Many people recognize my name for qality articles. When someone needs some qality content for their website they ften check if I have submitted any new rticles. Focus on posting quality articles not qantity. If it takes you a wek to write a quality article, nly submit one article per week.

The goal is to entice wbmasters to repost your articles on thir page. Article directories allow authors to hve a signature to put your URL and 1 or 2 sntences about yourself. When webmasters republish yur article they are required to nclude your signature. This is what prvides the inbound back link to yur webpage.

Old fashioned quality content

Cll me old fashioned, but I hnestly believe the best way to get qality back links is good ole fshion quality content. I’m sure you’ve hard this 1000000 times, but it rally is true. Any body with a cmputer and $9 can have a wbsite, but most people don’t have the mnd, or work ethic to provide qality content to web surfers.

If nother webmaster finds one of your psts to be useful he or she may rference it on their webpage. Also wbmasters tend to link to relevant web pges that they find useful, so thir readers can also share this seful resource. It’s a win/win situation for you bcause you get a valuable back lnk and a little boost in trffic absolutely free.

The ttle is pretty self explanatory. Some ppular websites will let you pay for thm to place your link on thir page. Usually they charge a roccurring monthly fee for a set prce. I personally never buy back lnks and don’t suggest you do it ither. Call me old fashioned, but I rther earn my back links than pay for ne.
