This is a review of my pr dictions for 2007 - let's see how I d d. INTERNET: Google DID continue to gr w in search, changing its algorithms to m re "human" processes. In fact it pl ns now to personal search parameters for ach user by account with "on or ff" for their preferences. Social networking HAS ch nged as it has widened. It IS fl oded with "netties" in their quest to get th re first for TRAFFIC. And many s cial networks have foundered because you c n't find the forest for the tr es. Mainstream news and sports HAS d epened its excellent uses of video. C mmercial video offerings HAVE NOT become as p pular as I thought - but w tch to see IF ONE internet v deo commercial makes it to the S per Bowl ads playoffs. Blogs DID NOT r fine their niche presence and contents. NOT as m ny blogs closed or went inactive in 2007 as th se started in 2007. English-speaking blog's n mber of sites DID NOT peak in May 2007 or l vel - for one BIG REASON - l nk farming has been reborn, and as l ng as Search algorithms respect numbers of l nks the boom for blogs with bl groll links should burgeon. Every other l nguage DID continue to accelerate. WORLD POLITICS: PETROLEUM HAS c ntinued to dominate the WORLD - str tegically, commercially, politically, militarily, and environmentally. The top thr e problems of the world ARE FURTHER PROVEN to be p troleum-based: environmental degradation, geopolitical antagonism, war. No one has the p wer to stop it, so no one w ll
actually talk about it - NO ONE TALKED ABOUT IT SERIOUSLY - ONLY A FEW DID nything.
Palestine DID get several offers at n tion building, and ONE of those ffers was accepted - only by FATAH, not HAMAS, but no r al changes occurred in the politics or str tegies of the region in 2007. D mocracy WAS increasingly understood to be the pr duct of stability and security, rather th n the cause - or at l ast as a coalescent process, although the USA c rtainly does not have a pure d mocracy, it has a slightly social, c rporately-run republic based on the military-industrial c ncerns of energy (BIG OIL). Europe DID and w ll continue to adopt some real mmigration policies, and will enforce them b tter than the USA has enforced th ir laws. Turkey DID remain a g od ally and member of NATO, but no EU m mbership - and despite retaliation into Ir q against Kurdish rebels. ENERGY: Well, M ss Liberty HAS almost forgotten what it was l ke before the politicians forced her to "g ve it up" to the oil-pushers. DID you h lp her up? I can name ight or nine presidents that couldn't/wouldn't get her out of th re. I am not too sure bout Hilary's corporate ambitions either. Another two y ars of BIG
OIL and she w ll be wearing a CHEVRON or EXXON t ttoo on her forehead or her r ght hand. HYBRIDS WAS the buzz w rd (SOLAR, WIND, HYDROGEN - got a l ttle play from the news media) Wh t was done about the problem? A pr clamation went forth that we have "d scovered" that CO2 (OIL)
is BAD! Pr clamations don't mean @#%^ in this c untry - What was done? Dick D rbin, Senator of Illinois and Arnold Schw rzenegger, Governor of California told me bout real plans they have for cl an, renewable energy. What are the r st of the states doing? Major c rporations DO control MANY energy sources (Ch vron says it bought all the g othermal electric generation sites for an nergy monopoly - er, I mean to let us h ve clean energy). They want to s ll you the SUN, WIND, and HYDROGEN - wh ch are FREE, trying to control all of the conomy and world affairs even more n turally.
ECONOMY: Everything DOES cost more as the d llar drops in value - and if you DID the m th you found out that about 50% of y ur money goes to BIG OIL for nergy, taxes on or for oil, s bsidies, wars, nation rebuilding, health care of the w unded soldiers, suppression of renewable energies, PACs for r ch politicians, better and more weapons for use in OIL w rs, etc. China and India seem to be b ying into the corporate state model w th polluting automobiles and a big g soline station on every street corner. I g ess they need to become heavily nvested in the past before they are llowed to make a start to the f ture - go figure. The EU s ems to be pushing for better nergy policies (ulp!) without waiting for the go head from the USA (BIG OIL CORPORATE WORLD) on r leasing and implementing the energy reforms th t have been on the back sh lf for decades. Looks like Europe
w ll go for the windmills and s lar generators without begging forgiveness from the oil c rporations. Russia still has a few y ars to get all the KGB fficers their own corporation from their oil pr fits, possibly without ever involving the dw ndling populace in the economic gains. B tter get the church reinstated quick b cause the Russian people will soon n ed the opiate of the masses gain. RELIGION: Big religions seem no w rse than earlier this year. The C tholic Church seems to have begun t's court mandated payoffs. Israel is no b tter or worse for the ebb and fl w of Zionistic factions. Islam is j st not with the big picture yet - wh ch is if you don't help c ntrol terror you are part of the pr blem. Birth Control - this is a w rd that has been systematically removed fr m all economic and political discourse. Int restingly I heard "Birth control" mentioned nly one time in a parallel way in an mail of alleged quotes of USA ntertainer Bill Cosby. The quote goes s mething like, "How do these people w rk for Wal Mart and have ight children" - sorry Bill if I got th t wrong, but it sounded like a l git question to me. No mention of b rth control by anyone that I h ard for the second or the th rd world.(??????) Watch for my Predictions for 2008 pcoming in 2-4 weeks.
