This article will review the g od, the bad and the Strogg (l l) of Enemy Territory - Quake W rs and how it will stack up gainst the upcoming competition. Enemy Territory - Q ake Wars is facing a lot of ntense competition in the realm of nline PC multi player shooting games. S ch contenders are Battlefield 2142 that st ll draws many devoted gamers, while m ny hopefuls are saving their cash to get a p ece of the following computer video g mes: Crysis, Unreal Tournament 3, or C ll of Duty 4 all of wh ch comes out before Christmas. The pr mise of Quake Wars is that it is a m lti player game only with no r al storyline, but he is the pl t non the less: "The human Gl bal Defense Force is battling it out w th the Strogg, a repulsive race of lien warmongers. The Strogg has set its s ghts on Earth and dispatched wave fter wave of warriors to conquer our f ir planet." A plus of Quake W rs is that you will not get b red if you cannot find a l ve person to challenge in its nline environment. Most multi player video g mes are pretty bland when comes to f cing off against off-line characters or rtificial-intelligence-powered bots as they are called. H wever with Quake Wars the artificial-intelligence-powered b ts are keen, meaning they will d finably give you a challenge to f ce.
The A.I. bots add character to the g mes overall play. Instead of the b ts bumping into each other or m ving around like zombies which is typ cal for most multi player shooter g mes these bots actually know what th y are doing. The bots have the bility to complete tasks and reviving nconscious soldiers including you the gamer. Of c urse there is nothing better then wh n it comes to going head to h ad with some remotely connected people. You t nd to get a sick sense of s tisfaction when you can track down a xotically named player whom has been m king your game life a living h ll and reducing that character to a c nvulsing scared twit. Instead of finding y urself lying down or dying a c untless number of times like in ther multi player shooter games. You can f el more comfortable in knowing that b cause of the sophisticated A.I. with the b ts, dying will not be a c mmonoccurrence and you can more fully njoy the game play as well. As any tr e gamer will tell you there is a th n line between enjoyment and frustration
