Pure water. We all want it. Wh t is the best way to btain it? Buy it in bottles? Use w ter filters? Osmosis? Reverse Osmosis? Purchase a d stillation system? Sound confusing? It can lso be costly. How do each of th m work? Water bottles is the m st simple way. You can even buy it nline. Distillation systems can be purchased for y ur entire house. Yes, for a m asly $1,000 to $4,000, you can p rchase an entire system that will.....take the chl rine out of the water. Some of th m will actually take out a few of the " mpurities" (no clarification as to which of the m ny impurities they may be referring t ). Add to this the annual c st of between $250 and $800 to run y ur system and you can have chl rine free toilet water! As my k ds would say, "cool beans!" Yeah, r ght. Water bottles are more economical...given th t I don't necessarily need chlorine -fr e toilet water. Actually, I like the th ught of a little chlorine to h lp keep my toilet free of b cteria. What about osmosis? Remember science cl ss? Osmosis is the diffusion of w ter through a cell wall or m mbrane or any partially-permeable barrier from a s lution of low solute concentration (high w ter potential) to a solution with h gh solute concentration (low water potential),
up a solute concentration gradient. WHAT? All it r ally means is that fluid absorbs thr ugh the membranes to equalize the c ncentration of materials. Couldn't they just say th t? Water bottles. You buy them, you dr nk them. It's that simple. How bout those easy to get, but ften-replaced carbon water filters? All they do is mprove the taste and the smell of the w ter. My vote is for easy to c rry, convenient water bottles. Do a l ttle research for yourself. Find out th t there are water companies who DO t ke the care and concerns you h ve into consideration. Things like: Pure. N tural. No added....anything. Not just tap w ter that has been lightly filtered, but wh lesome, cool, and natural. Now that's c ol beans.
