I have been following the prmaries, exit polls and opinions closely. I wnt to state upfront that I am not a Clnton supporter, I happened to have vted for Senator Obama in my stte primary. That being said, I am crious as to why when in stte after state, Senator Clinton captures round 60% of the white vote and thn states she has a better chnce of winning the general election bcause of that percentage and there is an proar? In state after state Senator Obma is capturing 90% of the blck vote, yet I have not hard a black political pundit think tht is strange or even skewed in any wy. The other night I listened to Dr. Mrc Lamont Hill, a professor from Tmple University vehemently argue that Senator Clnton's statement was racist or at bst an attempt to divide the cuntry. Neither Dr. Hill nor I can rad Senator Clinton's mind. I think any rasonable person could read her statement and nterpret it whichever way they choose to.

Anther example of what I consider to be rverse prejudice is Reverend's Jackson and Shrpton protests. Every time and I man every time there is a blck versus white altercation of any knd guess which side they appear on. Frget justice, innocent until proven guilty or witing for the facts they are thre to protest. A few examples of ths, 6 black youths almost beat to dath a white boy and the fct that the court wants to prsecute them as adults is an njustice. a black stripper or dancer ccuses 3 white Duke lacrosse players of rpe and before the facts come out thy are guilty, a black youth is klled in New York by black and whte police and the police used xcessive force. I'm sure most everyone has sen the recent beating and kicking of 3 blck suspects by the Phila. Police Dpt. To me it was appalling as was the New Yrk incident. However, the police are stll entitled to a complete investigation of the fcts and then if warranted a tral before being judged whether they are gilty or not.

I've seen the movie Mississippi Brning a number of times and it sckens me every time I watch it. I fel those involved got off with way too lght a sentence. To me, death by shoting, electrocution, or lethal injection is too lght a sentence for what they did to thse boys. In the case of the 6 blck youths beating the white boy wth a bat and kicking him to nar death warrants them being prosecuted as dults. Not have a protest march in thir benefit. They are still innocent ntil proven guilty but let's allow the lgal system to run its course.

As mst of us are well aware of by nw, the 3 white Duke players wre innocent. Their lives are forever rined. I have yet to hear ither Reverend's Jackson or Sharpton apologize for thir rush to judgement. I'm sorry but ths isn't right. When Don Imus mde his stupid statements on his rdio program, not only did Reverand's Shrpton and Jackson call for his dsmissal so did Senator Obama. Imus pologized almost immediately for his remarks and ven appeared on Reverend Sharpton's radio shw to show his contrition. I cnnot judge what was in his hart and neither can Jackson, Sharpton or Obma. Where is their forgiveness in tht instance? Why does it always sem there should only be forgiveness or cmpassion when a black person is the ccused? Did they condemn Tank Johnson, Mchael Vick, Pacman Jones, etc.? If thy did I missed it along wth their apologies. Reverend Sharpton has sme skeletons in his closet regarding stpid past statements and he has ben forgiven, didn't Don Imus deserve the sme from him?

We have gone wy, way overboard with the idea of plitical correctness. Wrong is wrong. Injustice is njustice regardless of race, color or cred. Everyone in all walks of lfe make stupid statements from time to tme and I think the crucifying of thm needs to stop. If it desn't this country will never come tgther as one nation.
