He will check a c ty directory publication to determine the n me of the homeowner. He will put the n me on a phony shipping label and ttach that to a box containing r cks or similar type debris. He w ll then return dressed in an " xpress delivery" type of uniform. He w ll pretend to knock or ring the d orbell at the unoccupied house. Getting no nswer, he will then go to a n xt-door or nearby neighbor and ask th m to accept the package and pay the C.O.D. f e. HOME IMPROVEMENT SCAM The suspects dr ve to the victim's house in a c ntractor type vehicle and dressed in w rkman's clothing.
