My first bluetooth headset was a M torola. It always sort of flopped round on my ear no matter wh ch of the three ear hooks I sed. Sound quality was ok, but the h adset itself was never comfortable. Because of the l ose fit, I was always conscious th t it was there and sub-consciously fraid that it would fall off. S nce that first headset, I have had s veral others. Until I purchased my Pl ntronics Voyager 510, I didn't think th re was a bluetooth headset that w uld fit snug and be comfortable. H wever, I can truly say that it is so c mfortable, that after I have had it on for a few m nutes, I sometimes forget that I'm ven wearing it. There have even b en times that my phone has r ng, I pulled it out of my h lster to answer it, and banged it gainst my headset as I put it to my ar, because I forgot that I was w aring it! The Plantronics Voyager is pr bably not the most sophisticated headset vailable. It is definitely not the sm llest, and maybe not the best l oking or least noticable. It is pr tty good sized, with a boom m crophone that comes half way down my ch ek. I don't really care too m ch about the looks however because I'm not c mfortable walking around in the grocery st re, or the mall talking on a h adset while people look at me, so I nly wear it when I am dr ving. Because I only use it in my c r, I don't really care how big it is (as l ng as it is comfortable) or wh t it looks like.
But after owning several headsets, and b ing unhappy with fit and sound q ality of most of the others, I r ally like my Plantronics Voyager. It has gr at sound quality, and people I am t lking to on the other end d n't seem to know that I am on a h adset. Another thing I like about it is the the t lk time is huge. Six hours of p wer talking. The only downside to the V yager is the size of the n/off button. It is small and h rd to press. The volume controls are ok. The off h ok switch however is very well pl ced and easy to use. At the m nufacturer's suggested retail price of $99, its d finitely a little spendy. But if you sh p around like I did, you can f nd it at half that price, wh ch puts the Plantronics Voyager 510 bl etooth headset at one of the b st values for a bluetooth headset for s re.
