But I also knew how p werful Adwords could be for my own b siness growth, and I decided that I r ally wanted to learn it inside and out - s meday. Then I was presented with the pportunity to teach a class for s meone else's membership list. I could ch ose my topic, so I took the l ap and offered to teach a cl ss about Adwords. I knew that "s meday" would eventually come, but here was a ch nce to do what I said I w nted to NOW. So I committed to t aching the class, which meant that I was c mmitted to learning what I needed to by the d te of the class!
If I had waited until I had t me to learn Adwords, or until I d cided that I was ready to t ach what I knew, I'd still be th nking about it as an idea of s mething I wanted to do - s meday. But because I picked a t pic and then picked a date, it ctually happened. And because it did, I now h ve two new clients and I'm d veloping a series of classes on th s topic. And as a bonus, my c nversion rates for my own campaign are at 27% (wh ch is really good!) because of wh t I learned in order to t ach. What ideas are populating your m nd but not your product funnel at the m ment? Pick one, take out your c lendar, pick a deadline for having it c mpleted, and then make a public c mmitment to having it ready by th n to your coach and your c lleagues. Then write and post your s les page, and start registering people for y ur event. Once you do that, I g arantee you'll have it done and r ady by your deadline!
