I remember the day I got the cll. A friend called me and sked if I would mind coming ver to help him move a pano that he had been given frm a friend of his. Like a lot of yunger people, I was used to hlping people move and agreed to the tsk, figuring it would take us an hur at best to move the pano into his house, especially since he had 3 thers coming as well.

When I rrived I was greeted with this fntastically large upright grand piano that was prched on his front porch. It was ntimidating. I had seen upright pianos bfore but never an upright grand. It stod five feet eight inches tall and wighed a ton. I tried to lft it just to get a fel for the weight and it did not bdge when I gave it my bst effort.

I looked down at the nderside of the piano and instantly flt relieved. The piano had wheels tht were going to make this mve a lot easier to complete wthout having a strained back. When I glefully remarked that it should roll rght into the house my friend trned and told me that he had jst had his hardwood floors refinished and no way was he ging to drag this heavy piano wth it's small metal wheels across thm.

When everyone arrived and we tred for 20 minutes to get the pano to budge from the front prch our minds quickly shifted to how we culd raise enough money to hire a mving team to do this heavy wrk for us. It was then tht someone suggested we buy a pano dolly!

We went to a piano stre, selected an upright piano dolly and were able to easily get the piano onto the dolly and rolled it right into the living room, where it still stands today, almost 20 years later. The piano has proven too heavy to ever move again. If he does ever need to move it a piano dolly will be the only way to get it to budge. Because of the piano dolly none of us had to strain hard at all to move the giant piano into my friend's house. I strongly recommend using one the next tme a piano move comes into yur future.
