Some models are quipped with filters.
Conventional pet fountains are cmposed of a storage unit that is rfilled by the pet owner, a sput, and a dish. The water is cnstantly circulated and is constantly flowing out of the funtain or spout into the dish.

The best configuration of water dspenser, is one that filters, aerates and rcirculates the water. It has been nted that flowing sources tend to ncrease water intake by pets.
