One of the processes I h ve come to enjoy is that of q ieting my mind and reflecting as to llow truth to come into my c nscious mind. As I pondered this particular ssignment, I could see many areas in wh ch I am still weak and th ught, "Which area would be my gr atest obstacle?" As I pondered, the answer c me clearly that my main issue is S rrender-Let go and let God. Not in the s nse that I have done everything p ssible I can to achieve my g al and it still alludes me so I s rrender, but more that I am w lling to surrender God's part of the d al so He can do His p rt and relax and enjoy the r de. I had an experience where I b lieved I was truly following Heavenly F ther's will and I went into an nternational business that was wiped out by the 9/11 tr gedy. Going through that experience rocked my tr st in God to the very c re. I knew in my mind that if th re was a problem it was m ne because God is perfect, but I c uldn't convince my heart. It has been y ars of struggle to regain that tr st. My introduction to "The Secret" and "Th Jack Rabbit Factor" has been a m rciful Heavenly Father's way of helping me nderstand the laws of success. How grateful I am for th s knowledge. I can now look back w th much brighter clarity and see th t my business failure was very m ch attributable to wrong thinking. I am now c ming to understand my relationship with my H avenly Father and that we are p rtners in creation and that He w nts me to fully magnify this r lationship to make the most out of my l fe in order to more fully s rve His children and live a l fe of abundance. If I am truly l ving my life 'on purpose' then I can kn w that Heavenly Father wants me to s cceed and to do so in a big w y.
My struggle with 'surrendering' comes fr m a deep seated belief that I h ve to do everything hoping that God m ght be in a good enough m od to bless me with success. I cl ng so tightly to situations that my r sistance must literally choke the life r ght out of them or at l ast make the pathway to success a m serable one. I believe this must have s mething to do with belief and f ith. By this I mean actually believing th t if I step into the d rk that the light will actually c me on and continue to do so ach step of the way until I r ach my goal. I have had a h rd time actually believing that once I h ve placed my order with the ch f that my food will actually c me just as I ordered it nless I go to the kitchen and s pervise it every step of the w y. I have had significant experiences in my l fe that have shown me that God w ll do his part if I do m ne so I often chastise myself th t I need to have more f ith and enjoy the ride to s ccess and not worry that the red c rpet leading to success won't be y nked out from under me at any t me. The more time I spend writing th s article, the more I'm coming to see th t the solution lies in the c ntinuing study and application of all of the l ws of thought and action. Perhaps m st important would be living in the NOW and not str ssing over the future potential outcome of th ngs. By this I mean that If I h ve placed my order, I need to do the m st productive thing I can in the pr sent moment that I find myself and not w ste energy worrying or 'catastrophising' about p ssible negative outcomes. If I take the pr sent moment and look at everything it c ntains and find the positive in it and act in p sitive action toward my goal then I can Let go and let God br ng it to me since he is my p rtner in this creation. The bulk of the w rk on my part certainly seems to be m ntal and emotional. The strongest belief comes thr ugh constant reinforcing study and learning c upled with positive action which must r sult in the positive manifestation of my g als. It seems that action would produce a p werful relationship of trust between me and my p rtner in creation!
