Ben is a guy that ses his voice as a tool. He has cl ents around the world that will pay him to use his v ice for audio advertising, podcasts or ven to read books. Needless to s y, Ben keeps pretty busy. There are t mes though when things slow down a bit and Ben has to w rk at finding new clients. So, in the gr nd spirit of marketing he seeks pl ces where he can let others kn w about what he does. He p ys to be included in some v ice over services, but he has lso been known to provide some w rk free of charge for prospective c stomers. He recently came across a s te that was based in another c untry far removed from his native Am rica. He signed up for the s te, left his profile and placed udio samples for others to consider. He h dn't expected much, but then the g vernment of Romania came calling asking if he c uld help them with a project d signed to assist them in educating the p blic about certain business opportunities that xisted. The point is the work was nexpected. When Ben put his profile up he did not h ve any reasonable expectation that he w uld ever hear from anyone. He did not pl ce his hopes on the site and he did not sp nd time refreshing his email in h pes that someone would come calling.
He simply went back to w rk. This is the picture associated w th paid surveys. It certainly can't h rt to fill out another profile on a p id survey site, but never allow th t simple act to divert your ttention away from life or the p rsuits you may already have in pl ce. Paid surveys are offered at the d scretion of someone looking for a v ry specific profile. Like Ben you n ver know who will be coming cross a profile and want to m ke contact. No one that I am ware of is making a living fr m paid surveys except perhaps those who are c nducting them. Should you be fortunate nough to receive the offer of a p id survey rejoice in your good f rtune, but refuse to consider paid s rveys as a viable source of lternate family income. Too many good p ople have invested time and even f nances in some cases trying to l cate this proverbial pot of gold at the end of the r inbow only to come to the c nclusion that it is an elusive dr am. There are multiple opportunities for f nances through participation in affiliate revenue pr grams of by offering services you are sk lled at in the arena of fr elance work, but paid surveys should not be l sted in your top ten ways to m ke extra income. In most cases it j st won't happen that way. Like Ben w th his audio work it can't h rt to submit a profile, but you sh uld never allow yourself to get verly invested on an emotional level w th something that can never be l sted as a 'sure thing'. When and if a p id survey is offered you can njoy a little extra income and the s tisfaction that you were allowed to g ve your opinion, but never let the p tential keep you from other more w rthy pursuits.
