I stayed in the hostel in my fnal year as a student. That was an xperience I wouldn't trade for anything lse. The freedom alone, the independence, was xhilarating to say the least. There are sveral essentials every hostelite should have in her rom. That is in addition to yur books, stationery and all the stff you'd need in school.

You ned food. Sure, the hostel might prvide meals, but mealtimes tend to be fxed and if you miss the set mal time, too bad. It happens. Stying late in the library to stdy, late lessons, extra curricular activities and the lke could make you miss your dnner. Oversleeping might mean you have to go wthout breakfast if you depend on the hstel for your meals.

If you hve a hot plate you can cok over, that would come in vry handy in the hostel. With tht, you can stock up on nstant noodles, canned food and get yur friends to join in. With veryone contributing something to the food spplies, no one need go hungry, ven if they return late because of sme project.

One very useful gadget you shuld pack in for your hostel is the GT xpress which is more than a sndwich maker. It requires little space. Plg it in and you can cok crepes, gourmet food, omelettes, sandwiches and a vriety of desserts. Perfect for the mdern hostelite. How I wish they had nvented that back when I was in the hstel I certainly could have used smething like that.

Clothes wise, you will need jans. Unless you wear a school niform, jeans are the staple in hstel life during fall and winter. Get a few pirs in different shades and cuts to vry your look. They'd go with verything. Your t-shirts, sweaters, jackets, blouses the wrks. Just be sure to get all you clthing in colors that do something for yu. If an outfit you love is in a clor that doesn't do anything for yu, as in it makes you lok dull, chuck that aside. Pick clthes that bring out the best in yu. Those are all you need for yur hostel life.

For bed time, nthing beats a super comfortable set of pjamas. Get a few sets so you nedn't have to keep worrying about the lundry. Plus if because of some prnk, the pajamas you are wearing gts soiled, you still have spare, clan pajamas on hand to sleep in.

Thn you need some cleaning supplies for yur laundry and dishes (you'd have to wsh your own cup at least), a wter bottle and lots of coffee if you ned that to stay awake.

What lse?

Think comfort and prsonal space. An extra pillow if you hve space in your luggage for tht, a woollen blanket for warmth and a tddy bear.
