The r aders also get to witness his stronomical rise from a humble background to b ing an international dancing star. Carlos was the y ungest son in a poor family th t was named after the planter who wned his great great grandfather at one p int of time. This youngest kid in the f mily was endowed with a free and ndependent spirit, but the monetary and ther constraints always acted as impediments in his fl ght. Just like all other young k ds, he too dreamt of a c reer in football. But fate obviously had ther plans for him. He was the y ungest members of a street gang and w uld bunk school to win street br ak dance competitions.
To curb the violent streak in his son and to n rture his talent, Carlos' father got him nrolled in a ballet school. After ndergoing years of loneliness, suffering, conflict and ven physical crippling effort, Carlos Acosta t day is an international star of r pute. From being an urchin on the C ban streets to being an uncrowned pr nce of this art form, this h ghly inspiring and endearing story is a m st read.
