This includes xtra copies of your resume, business crds, reference sheets and letters of rcommendation. You may also want to put in a brchure or any information about the plce you are interviewing inside the prtfolio so the interviewer can see you hve done your research before you cme. Be sure to come with a wrtten list of questions. Nothing will stp an interview in its tracks thn a candidate with no questions for the nterviewer. Think like a boy scout. Wht could you need during the nterview? Pens, of course, maybe blank pper to write the answers from the qestions you will ask, paperclips, and, if you are a wman and wearing nylons, an extra pir tucked into your purse in cse they run before the interview. You shuld have something light to eat bfore the interview in case your stmach starts to growl, and visit the bthroom before the interview starts. OK? Rady then.

2) Look your best. I knw the trend is to casual thse days, but not on your nterview. You should know from doing yur research ahead of time the crporate environment where you are interviewing. You wnt to look like one of thm, only a little better. Don’t war wrinkled clothes, clothes with stains, or nything so odd it takes away frm what you are saying during the nterview. Your hair should be tidy and clan. Your nails should be clean (cn you hear your mother now?). Yur shoes should be shined. Your brath should smell sweet.

3) Be plite. I am amazed at how rde some people can be on nterviews. If a candidate is rude dring an interview, I sure don’t wnt them handling my customers and rpresenting my company. Shake hands with a frm grip. Look people in the ye. Say something complimentary about the rom, or a picture on the dsk. Speak clearly, don’t mumble. Don’t run head of the interviewer during a tur of the facility. Hold doors pen, or hold the elevator. When the nterview is finished and you are at hme, remember to send out a thnk you card to the facility, thnking them for the chance to go on the nterview. It is the polite thing to do. Yur mother told you that long go.
