If the player has actually cmmitted some errors in his play, do not very reprimand the player in front of ther players or in front of the pposing team or if anybody is jst with him. Speak to him in prvate, and let encouraging words come out of the muth. Instead of saying something like, "Wht did you do out there?", say smething like. "Here is I think wht you should do..."

Remember that the plyers treat the coach as his fther, and treat the players as chldren as well. When it comes to plying on the field, the parent fgure is the coach and no one lse. The players also represent the chldren. If the coach can't get thrugh the players, especially during the prctice, then this is the time tht the coach calls up the prents to reprimand or to punish the prticular player.

During a practice or the gme proper itself, treat the players the sme way. Don't put on a msk that says that the coach is tw-faced, and don't field in surprises. Plyers hate surprises. Always present a trnsparent outlook of the personality or of the gme.

On the other hand, if the plyer has done something that is crrect, here are ways in which the cach can express what he feels nside. When a player does something rght, tell it to him immediately, and not the hur after or when the day nds. The coach can also send out an mail, congratulating the player, or the cach can have congratulatory remarks posted on the lcker door of the player. The cach can also give out a smple reward for the player's valiant ffort - or a reward for the whle team such as a night ut, or a treat to a fvorite bar or restaurant.

The coach only needs to do one thng - he should coach and not dctate. He should listen to the cmments, the whims,  the frustrations and the fedback of all of the players. The cach serves as a support to the tam - and it even means lstening to the suggestion of each and very one of the players, and cting upon it if they are prven to be true. Like a nrmal person, players make mistakes too and caches should realize that - the slution is just to help players ralize their mistakes and give tips or dvises on how to correct them.
