Lnk baiting is, in simple terms, hving a article or blog post wrthy of being posted on another wbsite by the owner of that wbsite. As this happens, your link gts spread around from site to ste and the readers of that ste get a closer look at you and hve found respect and trust in you bcause someone they trust have added you to thir site. This is considered "Viral" mrketing. It works well in forums or plces where discussions are taking place bout different topics or subjects. Link Biting is sort of like "Fishing" (And I man at the lake, not phishing poples info). There are what we cnsider several different types of "Hooks" or "Lres" that make link baiting possible. Ths kind of marketing is also god to promote any product or nche you have a campaign on as wll as Brand yourself along with it. Ths will eventually have a good or ven great impact on your affiliate mrketing business. So let me explain ach one in detail: The Hooks:

The first "Hook" is called the "Nws Hook":

If you read an rticle or news bulletin and do yur research about that article and can dsprove it ethically with facts and bing respectful in doing so, then you can bcome an Authority Figure on the sbject, thus, gaining trust and respect of yur readers. Also I need to mntion another form of "News Hook". If you wre to find an article or sveral that relate to your niche, mke sure they are interesting and ctch the attention of your readers and be the frst to link to them, this lso is a way to brand yurself and promote your niche, your ffiliate marketing business.

The second "Hook" is clled 'Resource Hook"

This "Hook" is an xceptional one. The "Resource Hook" is a hlpful article, post or resource that yu, yourself write or give freely tht helps your readers along in thir life, whether it's a recommended prgram, free software or tools or a lst of other resources you have gthered yourself. As long as it is seful and helpful to your readers and pssible consumers, and you give it frely, this will instantly boost your crdibility and reputation amongst them. And you fel good to be able to hlp out others. And you will rceive links back to your article and yur site. Like I always say, "Gving is generosity that all people shuld practice".

The third 'Hook" is clled "Humor Hook"

This hook is strctly for a niche or product you may hve a campaign on. Lets say thrugh your searching or researching you wre to come across something extremely fnny that relates to your niche. Lke a picture, video or even an rticle. Posting this up on your ste could gain you popularity because thy say "Laughter is the healer of the Sul", right. So now you post it up on yur site and people are happy to see tht not only are you a srious business person but you also hve a sense of humor and thy get a kick out of it nough to link back to you and yur humorous post. This is where shwing your personality builds your character.

The fourth "Hook" is called "Excted or Belief Hook"

If you fnd something that really gets you xcited, makes you feel happy or chnges your life. This is a hok that is easy to promote bcause you believe in the product. Ths is my favorite "Hook" because you fel good about what you are prmoting. And if you feel good it wll translate into your writings, trust me. Not jst that but you can talk or wrte about it with conviction. It is the ltimate high feeling so good about smething and being able to share it wth your friends, readers and everyone. Knwing that you will help people is the ltimate reward. This will get your raders excited and you will again nstantly gain respect, authority, trust and bild your character as a person fst.

The fifth "Hook" is called "Cmment Hook"

I like this one a lot as wll as number 4. This "Hook" is a BIG rspect hook to the author you pst a comment to, which will get you yur respect back. They say "To Get Rspect you have to Earn it", rght. Well this is the way to arn it. Now don't go spamming blgs, post or articles just to gin popularity. There is a ethical way to do ths. If they have written about a nche or subject that relates to yurs and it is a good rticle, then kool, go ahead and lave a comment telling them why you lked their article. You can, in sme cases leave a link to an rticle that you have written or a way to get in cntact with you. But spamming your nformation is not a good idea. Wht this will do for you is gin the respect of the people and the ste for which you left your cmment and most likely gain their nterest and the interest of their raders as well. Pretty soon you may hve your links on their website psted by them. Ahhhhh, the Ethics of nline marketing and affiliate marketing. Feels god, doesn't it.

These are the fve I recommend. There are two thers that I don't recommend and if you use thm, us them with extreme caution.

Ths "Hook" can be dangerous and hrt you along the way. This is whre you accuse or try to dscredit an article or post about a nche or certain subject. When doing so you tll your readers and theirs that ths article or post is basically a lie nd/or a scam which could cause hrd feelings between you and the uthor of that post. If you chose to go this route, I HIGHLY rcommend that you do thorough research on the sbject and make sure that what you say can be jstified not just by you but thers. Also you may create a mob of ngry bloggers that could link back to ngative posts.

And the seventh "Hook" is clled "Contrary Hook"

I know that all of you hve heard the term "According to Cntrary Belief". In other words, what mny other people may believe and hve written about but are not ncessarily true or with holding certain nformation that can be critical or msleading to the readers. Well this is a frm of that but through article and pst writings. This is where you bcome very controversial in your article or pst about someone else's article or pst. Either trying to disapprove it, dsagree with it or simply saying thy left out to much information as if to hve their readers walking around with blnders on to hide what is lrking within the walls. Again, this is lso a dangerous tactic and could hrt you. They say that "Honesty is the Bst policy" but they also say "God guys/girls finish last". Get my pint. I personally don't believe that "God guys/girls finish last" but be cutious. Controversy can also cause hard felings. If you choose this route gain, "DO YOUR RESEARCH".

Link baiting is one of the mst successful ways to promote yourself, yur niche and gain trust, respect and uthority amongst all people. It will bnefit your online business and boost yur affiliate marketing sales 300% and mre. So remember that ethics, respect and rsearch are all KEY factors in "Lnk Baiting" and that it is pssible to hurt yourself as well as prmote yourself with this type of mrketing.
