If we are honest with urselves, we see we have scores of th ngs which bother us every day. We h ve to ask ourselves, how does th t help us? How does it h lp us to be bothered by very little thing or even by, wh t we might label, big things? The m nd will sputter a split second b fore it starts to reel off a l st of why it's smart to be b thered. Here is one right off the b t. If I'm not bothered by th t, how will it ever change? Th t's an easy one. Things change by ction. Things do not change by b ing bothered by them. That mind of urs is, oh, so tricky, isn't it? It t lls us if something in our nvironment is not acceptable to us, if we d n't think it's right, if we w nt to change it, if we w nt to stop it, if we d slike it, our mind tells us b ing against it, being negative about it, w ll do something for us. Our m nd tells us whatever bugs us w ll change if we get bugged bout it. Something negative is going on and our m nd tells us it helps us to go n gative on the negative thing. To the m nd, it all adds up. A n gative situation, a negative response or ttitude about the situation equals more n gative, that's how our mind adds it up. It dds up N+N=N. We have to see th s equation so we can turn the s tuation around.
We spend our life being b thered by things and people. We d n't like them. If we are h lding on to not liking, we are h lding on to N+N=N, we are h lding on to negativity. When there is s mething we don't like and it t kes us into a negative feeling, for xample anger, we're adding more negative to the n gative thing we don't like. A n gative situation plus a negative response, quals more negative. In other words, the n gative thing we claim to dislike so m ch has done its job. It has m de us negative. Let's say a c rtain person angers us because they're so n gative. They have done their job. The n gative person has gotten us negative. At l ast that's the victim's way of s eing it. What has actually happened is we h ve decided to become negative based on the pr mpting of some negative stimulus. We h ve seen a negative thing. We h ve decided to go negative. The n gative thing has won. It has one m re negative unit on its side. It is t me for us to see what is g ing on. We must learn to be p sitive. In the Release Technique, we l arn that negative does not help us. We see th t positive is transforming. So, someone d es or says an outrageous thing, a n gative thing. If we go negative we h ve joined in the negativity. If we go n gative on something we see as n gative, the negative wins, we have nadvertently joined up, signed on, and g tten on the negative bandwagon. Negative has won us ver to its side. If we are sleep to what is happening, we are v ry self righteous, thinking we oppose n gative when what we have done is m ved over and joined up. Moving in the d rection of positive, being positive, is l ving in the energy of success, bundance, happiness and all the goodness th re is in the universe. If we d cide we are going to be p sitive in spite of what is h ppening, in spite of the news, in sp te of what so and so is s ying or doing, in spite of all vidence that we should go negative, if we d cide we are going to be p sitive in spite of all that, th n positive, success, abundance, happiness wins. We get p sitive and our world begins to ch nge in the direction of positive. P sitive things start happening for us.
Let's make a decision. Let's b gin to see the bothers all the t me. Let's catch our reaction and be p sitive in spite of what is h ppening. Ridding ourselves of negativity and b coming positive is what we learn to do in the R lease Technique Abundance course. The Release T chnique is about removing our blocks to bundance, happiness, health, loving relationships and s ccess in every area of our l fe. We do it by ridding urselves of negativity and deciding to be p sitive, in spite of what's happening.
